Gods and non-gods, as well as those who have attained asceticism, and all mantra holders, are also subject to the law of death. It is said in the Vinaya Sutra: Gods who have attained meditation, as well as humans and non-humans, non-divine hermits, ascetics with blazing glory, even those who dwell for long kalpas are impermanent. What need is there to mention that humans, with bodies like bubbles bursting without support, will individually perish and separate? So it is said. The wheel-turning monarch, the ruler of the four continents, and kings, ministers, renunciants, brahmins, and householders, and all ordinary beings, none can escape death. In the Visesa Stotra (梵文天城体,vishesa stotra,梵文罗马拟音,Special Praise) it says: Kings possessing the seven precious things, and other small kings, ministers, renunciants, brahmins, householders, etc., all these beings are impermanent, like experiences in a dream. So it is said. This present body of leisure and endowment, which is the essence, is also impermanent, for life only decreases and does not increase, like lightning flashing when summer clouds gather, and like a waterfall and flowing water on a steep cliff, not staying still for even a moment day and night, with one day and two days passing, drawing ever closer to death, so it is certain to die quickly. In the Lalitavistara (梵文天城体,lalitavistara,梵文罗马拟音,Extensive Play) it says: The three realms are impermanent, like autumn clouds, the birth and death of beings is like watching a dance, the life of a person passes like lightning in the sky, flowing swiftly like water flowing down a steep cliff. So it is said. Furthermore, the outer world, the four continents, the eight subcontinents, Mount Meru, the seven golden mountains, the seven playful oceans, the sun and moon. And surrounded by iron fences, at the end of a thousand. Surrounded by iron fences of equal height to the Thirty-Three, is the first thousand, the general world. At the end of a thousand like that, surrounded by iron fences of equal height to the Paranirmita-vasavartin, is the second thousand, the intermediate world. At the end of a thousand like that, surrounded by iron fences of the same height difference as the first dhyana, is the three-thousand great-thousand world system, that is, each of the four continents and iron fences, if counted one by one from one to two, is a hundred kotis, that is, ten billion. Such a world system, first forms, dwells in the middle, and finally is burned to ashes by seven fires, then washed away by water, scattered by wind, and finally becomes one with space.

Having transformed into emptiness as it was before it arose. As it is said in the Samadhiraja Sutra: When this world realm arises, and all the worlds become like space, just as it was before, so it will be later. Know all things in the same way. Just as the example of the destruction of the outer vessel and its contents, so too should we understand that the inner body will also be destroyed. First, the nature of mind becomes one with space, and from that state, ignorance and the winds of conceptualization form the basis and arise. In the middle, it remains. Finally, this destruction also occurs because of aggregation, therefore separation; because of birth, therefore death; because it is compounded, therefore it will be destroyed. When the time of death arrives, the outer four elements are absorbed into the inner four elements. The seven fires and one water, all eight become ashes. The inner elements dissolve into clear light, so there is a time when it becomes one with space. Furthermore, thinking about the way the teachers, the Buddhas, the Bhagavad-Tathagatas, who have attained vajra-like bodies, have appeared in countless world realms, have passed into nirvana with their retinues, and their teachings have declined. What need is there to mention permanence and stability for our bubble-like bodies? In the Collection on Impermanence, it says: The Sugata's essence body, blazing with a thousand lights, made of a hundred merits, is also impermanent. Like a bubble struck by a stone, it is unreliable. How can one's own body certainly not be destroyed? The Victorious One, like the sun, has passed away for the benefit of beings. Look at the moon of the treasury of the sacred Dharma as it sets. Know that one's own perfections, retinue, and enjoyments are all impermanent. Thus, the outer vessel world, the inner sentient beings, all the high and low, good and bad, are impermanent. There are many examples and meanings. In short, all beings, great and small, high and low, who exist on this earth now, will certainly be gone within a hundred years. The Omniscient Great One said: All the beings on this earth now will certainly be gone within a hundred years. As it is said, it is certain that one will die, it is uncertain when one will die, it is uncertain that one will die here, it is not known what circumstances will cause death, there is no adding to life, there will always be harm, there are many causes of death, and the
