If the continuum is not liberated, wandering in samsara has no difference whatsoever. Therefore, good and evil are merely the difference of generating temporary happiness and suffering, other than that, it is nothing more than the addition of samsara. Like this, if good is not thoroughly determined, the path of liberation and the good of temporarily accumulating merit will be confused, and thus the fruit of omniscience will not be attained. If evil is not thoroughly determined, one will not understand that one's own ignorance is the obscuration and the basis of delusion, and thus one will not grasp the root of delusion. Therefore, there is no choice but to be endlessly deluded in samsara, so it is important to understand the importance of thorough determination. Also, so-called deities of help and protection, examining the three places of where they first arise, where they exist in between, and where they ultimately go, it will be found that they do not exist. Among the objects of the senses, which one do they belong to, which one of form, sound, smell, taste, and touch? In which element of the container and content world do they exist? In the mind, examine whether they belong to the indivisible realm of dust and smaller particles. Also examine the names of each element and the nature of the things themselves. Also examine how the deity bestows help, and the harming demons are also the same, after careful examination it will be understood that they do not exist. All happiness and suffering are merely the appearances and experiences of the mind, like a dream, deities and demons have not produced any effect on the basis of bestowing help and harm. If it is thought that demons cause harm, then they transcend the realm of form, sound, smell, taste, and touch, and are merely named demons, how do they cause harm? After examination, it will be found that they do not exist, but are emptiness, and are not seen to exist. People, due to the influence of delusion, even divide their own bodies into good and bad, thinking that the upper body is clean and clinging to it like a deity; thinking that the lower body is dirty and clinging to it like a demon, in this way, hope and fear constantly arise. Due to the strong power of the bondage of self-grasping, the experience of happiness and suffering constantly arises, all of this is merely the appearance and experience of samsara, other than that, there is no truth to be found, just like a dream. Understanding this key point is to eliminate the obstacles to meditation. Eliminate all obstacles that do not trust meditation and do not devote themselves to meditation, and thus generate trust in the meaning of the nature of reality, and gain unwavering conviction. Separated from the obscuration of ignorance, one will be able to control the great power of awareness. Profound Pacifying Demon Cutting.

is the root. Do not seek other deities apart from self-awareness. Once it is determined that there are no other demons apart from conceptual thoughts, then this is indispensable for all practices and exorcisms. If one understands this, one will be certain that all phenomena are realized as illusion-like, becoming a great illusion yogi. Hey, you little child of mind-free awareness, show this to all those to be tamed, and there may arise nothing but yogis of the definitive secret Great Vehicle. Having said this, he became invisible. Furthermore, in the clear light of pure appearance, when I met the glorious Great Vajrapani face to face, I asked this: Hey, great Vajradhara Buddha, is the so-called Buddha self-enlightened in oneself, or does one have to go to another realm to attain enlightenment? After hearing this, he replied: Hey, son of a fortunate lineage. If you think that the so-called Buddha exists in a vast place, like a king with a beautiful form, seeing him without any displeasure, he is peaceful, cool, clear, unpolluted, beautiful, and never tiring to behold, then who are his parents? If born from a mother, then it has an end of birth; if abiding, then it has an end of abiding in permanence; if ceasing, then it has an end of annihilation without appearance. In short, as long as these three—birth, abiding, and cessation—exist with independent, truly established self-nature, there is no way that there can be a reality that is free from the two extremes. How these appearances appear as birth and cessation is merely imputation. Upward towards the direction of pure liberation, if one also clings to it as real, then one will bind oneself. If there is a difference in the nature of samsara and nirvana, then the so-called equality of samsara and nirvana is just talk. Many cling to self-characterized nirvana and then enter the box of doubt. In a pure land, the enjoyments have countless aspects, and if one clings to the differences of vast arrangements as self-characterized entities, then that is also clinging to the self of phenomena. Similarly, seeing the Tathagata as permanent and truly established, no matter what name is given, in reality it does not go beyond clinging to the self of a person. If one thinks that the Buddha has eyes, then there must also be eye consciousness. Once eye consciousness is established, there is no way that it cannot appear as form. This is the object taken by the eye, called the object. Like this
