I am still unable to fill my stomach, and even if I do, I suffer because my legs and feet cannot bear it. Apart from the food and water offered and the incense burned, even if I can find a little food during the day to fill my stomach, at night I turn into a torch, and my stomach burns, and I must endure unbearable suffering from being burned. The pretas with special burdens are: some feed on the abscesses, swellings, pus, and serum that erupt on their bodies; others eat the countless creatures that fill the wounds that erupt on their bodies. These are the pretas with special burdens of suffering. Their common suffering is hunger, thirst, heat, and cold, which are the same as the previous two. The pretas who roam in the sky are: Tsen, Kings, dead ghosts, Bhutas, Matri, Theurang, etc. There are various kinds of evil spirits, some with great power, some small, and some very weak, etc. All of these are tormented by intense hatred, malice, and various desires, thinking of transferring all the happiness, wealth, and well-being of others to themselves, thereby harming others and not benefiting themselves in the slightest. Moreover, they experience the cause of their own death at the time of their death every seven weeks, suffering greatly from the appearance of birth and death. By thinking of transferring the cause of death to others, they cause great harm to others, without benefiting their own experience in the slightest, and their negative karma increases greatly. Furthermore, they are attached to and delighted by beautiful appearances and past relatives and friends, and when they go to the garden, these people suddenly become ill or go mad, etc. Due to intense hatred, they harm humans and animals. They crave food and drink, Oṃ (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡), being attached, they hate and harm others; they steal the accomplishments of practice, etc., doing harmful things to others. Therefore, capable mantra practitioners and demon subduers torment them with fierce mantras and weapons, splitting their heads into pieces; cutting their bodies into pieces, cutting off all their heads and limbs; burning and suppressing them with fierce sacrificial fire flames, causing them to fall into the ground.

Being pressed and bound in an iron house for hundreds of thousands of years, and being cut and chopped by wheels and wind banners, etc., immeasurable suffering is experienced all around. The harm of attachment and hatred, those karmas and the ripening of karma will not be wasted, but will greatly increase, and one will still have to fall into that evil state and the hells, so the suffering is endless. Furthermore, on top of the common suffering for pretas, there are various different kinds of suffering, but I will not elaborate here for fear of the number being too great. Therefore, the cause of being born in the state of pretas is the thought and behavior of desire, and in the past, each of us has accumulated such karma without end, and even in this present time, we only engage in this kind of karma, so now we must cut off the continuation of bad karma, and hope that we will not seize the path of liberation in this life, and keep suffering in mind, and if we cannot bear a day's hunger and thirst now, how can we endure the suffering of hunger and thirst for hundreds of thousands of years? We must strive to train our minds in this way. The third of the evil realms is the animal realm, and there are two types: those who dwell in the depths and those who wander around. Those who dwell in the depths are: in the vast ocean, there are crocodiles, conches, large fish, frogs, water snakes, etc., from those as large as Mount Meru to those as small as the tip of a hair, the size is uncertain, and there are as many as the flies in the mash. Of all of these, the large eat the small, and many small ones gather together to eat one large one, and they endure hunger, cold bodies, and the torment of various diseases, and the unimaginable suffering of being foolish and ignorant is that of animals. (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Sanskrit Devanagari: , Sanskrit Romanization: om, Literal Chinese meaning: 嗡) This is the common suffering of beings. In the darkness of the continent, countless animals cannot see their own and others' forms, and they eat their own flesh, and they flee and jump from the pain of disease, and they fall into cliffs, and their limbs and bones are broken, etc., and they are tormented by the suffering of being foolish and ignorant. Those who wander around are the animals who live in the realms of gods and humans, who are foolish and ignorant, and especially these animals who depend on humans are obvious.
