Without distraction and laziness, quickly cross beyond samsara, do not waste time, strive to attain liberation! At the time of the changing of the old and new years and months, also remember that your life has been reduced by a year and a month, and be vigilant! Such training of the mind in death is the essence of all that must happen! It is the core of all diligence and perseverance! It is the spur of liberation and omniscience! It is the source of wisdom and virtue! It is the supreme vessel of all instructions! It is the lifeblood of all faith and vows, therefore, all practitioners have a unique quality that transcends the ordinary! It is the supreme treasure, unsurpassed, for all beings who enter the Dharma path! Those who have not generated the thought of impermanence of death in their minds, no matter what Dharma they practice, will be swayed by external circumstances! It is easy to be controlled by laziness and distraction, and going on the Dharma path is as impossible as a rabbit growing horns or a barren woman giving birth! Why? For example, just as the people who are bound by the laws of a great king, no matter what work they are assigned, cannot do anything else until it is completed! If death truly arises in the mind, then until liberation is attained on the path of omniscience, one will not be controlled by external circumstances and laziness, this is the supreme great vow! Think about its meaning, and always pray to the Lama to integrate it into your mind: The appearance of this life is like a dream, it is only temporary! From the depths of your heart, remember impermanent death! Pray to the Lama Rinpoche! Please bless me, Lord of incomparable kindness! Pray from the depths of your heart like this! Among the six realms of sentient beings in samsara, First, hell is also divided into eight hot hells and eight cold hells, as well as two neighboring hells, totaling eighteen. The commonality of the eight hot hells is that all places are iron grounds burning with flames, and all spaces have the nature of a wheel of fire. First, the hell called "Revival" is where hell beings fall like rain into a burning fire pit, gathered together by karmic winds. When they see each other, they generate intense hatred as if seeing an enemy. As soon as it arises, due to the force of karma, various weapons immediately fall into their hands, and when they strike each other, flesh and blood are ground into powder, leaving nothing. At this time, a voice comes from the sky saying, "May you be revived!" As soon as the sound is heard, they are restored to their original state. Thus, they constantly experience unbearable suffering without any opportunity. The length of life is that fifty human years are one day of the gods of the Four Great Kings' heaven. Thus, thirty days make a month, and twelve months make a year, with a lifespan of five hundred divine years. This is equivalent to one day in the Revival Hell, so they must endure that suffering for five hundred years. Second, the hell called "Black Line" is where, on the iron ground of hell, the hell executioners stretch the bodies of sentient beings like wood, drawing four to eight lines, and then drawing eight more lines between those lines, totaling sixteen lines. Between those lines, they draw sixteen more lines, totaling thirty-two lines, and then they violently saw them apart with a burning iron saw. As soon as they are sawn apart, they immediately reattach, and thus they constantly endure such suffering. The length of life is that one hundred human years are one day of the Thirty-Three Heavens, and one thousand divine years are one day of the Black Line Hell, equivalent to one thousand human years. Third, the Gathering and Crushing Hell is where iron mountains, previously (Tibetan: སྔོན་ཨོཾཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari:, Sanskrit Romanization:, Chinese literal meaning: ) with the heads of sheep and goats, etc., any sentient beings previously killed by oneself, between two such mountains, countless sentient beings are gathered by karmic winds, and the two mountains collide with each other, grinding them like sand. When they separate, they are revived as before, forming bodies, and enduring unbearable suffering.
