After examining, having ascertained that none of these are established anywhere, one gains conviction and enters the path. Homage. Palha, if one focuses the mind single-pointedly on things like twigs and pebbles, and strictly prevents thoughts and discriminations, then at that time there will be very many thoughts, like blocking the course of a stream, the three doors of body, speech, and mind will be uncomfortable and obvious. Then, relax and loosen, set up a watchtower for thoughts and look, and everything that arises will be seen clearly. Introduce the one who sees as memory or awareness, introduce what is seen as movement, and introduce remaining in that state as abiding, and meditate in this way. If you meditate diligently on this, a stable experience of calm abiding, bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality will arise in your mindstream. Later, when the three, abiding, movement, and awareness, merge into one, and all movement and memory are in a state of self-knowing and self-clarity, it is called awareness. When discriminations naturally dissipate, it is called ignorant mind, introduce it in this way and meditate. Due to the differences in faculties, experiences such as pleasure, clarity, emptiness, and roughness will arise uncertainly, just as the nature of the moon inherently has waxing and waning, so too the nature of the mind inherently has pleasure and pain uncertainly, so there should be no hope and fear, acceptance and rejection, negation and affirmation, the key is not to lose the self-nature of that clear awareness. Experiences and appearances naturally vanish and cannot last, like illusions and dreams, so recognize them. If you cling to pleasure, clarity, emptiness, roughness, dream experiences, clairvoyance, and subtlety as supreme, and engage in negation and affirmation, hope and fear, attachment and clinging, then that is the path of deviation and obscuration, so recognize it. Now, I heard from the mouths of old people that there is a good Buddhist path called "meditation." I thought about it carefully, and it seemed that there was something that the eyes could see, the hands could take, or the ears could hear. I thought, if those old monks can get it, I will surely get my share. So I went to a remote valley, leaned against a red rock, and stared straight ahead for three days. The next night, in a dream, a white child asked me, why are you sitting here? I replied, I am sitting here to see if I can see meditation. The child narrowed his eyes and sang this song: Hehe! If you want to enter the right path, listen to the blind man. The body is like a paper tube.

Like being moved by the wind. Speech is like the sound of wind flowing through a pipe. Homage! This mind is the maker of samsara and nirvana. Among these three, please identify the main one. So-called meditation is a distant expectation of seeing and hearing. Having said that, I woke up from my sleep. After waking up and thinking, although I had decided that the mind was the main thing, I didn't know how to start. After a few days, in a dream one night, a yogi who claimed to be Orgyen Tso Kyé Dorje (Padmasambhava) placed a vase on my head, cleansed the impurities of my body, and with the vase empowerment, matured my body into a nirmanakaya. He praised me as his regent. Now you should carefully examine this mind, the source of its initial arising, the place where it abides in the middle, and the place where it ultimately goes. That is meditation. After saying this, I had the experience of merging into him. Again, one night in a dream, a red yogi who claimed to be Orgyen Speech Vajra said, "Child, fix your mind on me like a stake. Forcibly cut off all thoughts." I did as he said, but thoughts arose without interruption, and I said I couldn't bear it. He asked, "Are you aware of the arising?" He said. I said, "I am aware." He said, "Oh, in that way, moving in thoughts, the one who knows is awareness, and the one who abides on top of awareness is abiding. Never separate from these three." After saying this, he poured the nectar of the skull into me, and said that with the secret empowerment, my speech matured into speech vajra, and then merged into me. After about three years, in a dream, a young woman placed thirteen white mustard seeds on a clear mirror, and said, "Child, place this mirror in your heart." She said, "These mustard seeds foreshadow the future appearance of retinue disciples and vidyadharas, and have interdependence." Then she placed the mirror in my heart and sang this song: Emaho! Son of the radiant Vajra Essence! Self-mind is the basis of all samsara and nirvana. The source of its initial arising is emptiness, the place where it abides in the middle is emptiness, the place where it ultimately goes is emptiness. See the nature of emptiness. Without form, color, or birth, free from the confusion of one and many, beyond the side of existence and non-existence, cutting off the names of negation and affirmation.
