Now the source is the eyes and limbs of all Dharmas. Without this, any Dharma practice is like a corpse without a head and limbs. O sons! Ah! Noble ones who wish to enter the right path, if you must practice the supreme Dharma, then the Lama, the embodiment of all Buddhas, Engage in practice, offering, supplication, receiving empowerment and accomplishment. All food, drink, clothing, ornaments, enjoyment, going, and dwelling, take as the path of accumulation, offering, prostration, and circumambulation. Brothers and sisters who are Dharma companions with the same samaya, always view them as the play of heroes and dakinis. From the depths of your heart, give love, compassion, respect, and veneration, and treat everyone equally, regardless of good or bad, near or far. This is very important. All beings are loving parents. For beings drowning in the swamp of suffering, they are the object of compassion. Always do not abandon them in your heart, and place them in a state of bliss. Generate a courageous heart and great compassion, and uphold your vows. This is where I place my trust. I wonder if a fool like me can benefit others. I do not have profound knowledge, nor do I have beautiful writing. Know that not separating from these three is like a field for practice, like the foundation stone of a castle. Then, wanting to put on beautiful and pleasing clothes and go to a bustling market, but not finding those clothes. In the end, just as one would stick various trees, grasses, flowers, and bird feathers on the surface of one's body smeared with mud, and regard it as the best of clothes and ornaments, I will speak of this foolish practice called "Mud-Clothed Feathered One." Listen! Look! Laugh at this! Now some practitioners say that good thoughts should be kept and bad thoughts should be stopped. I think this is like closing the doors and windows and busying oneself inside after the thief has run away. Some say that after the previous thought has slipped away like a fox, the next thought should be sent out like a hunting dog to rely on the antidote. This is a good practice for beginners, but if one spends one's whole life indulging in this and clinging to it, It is like adding error upon error and deceiving oneself. Some say that just as an old shepherd puts calves and lambs on a flat and wide ground and watches over them, so too, observing thoughts in that way is something that beginners should practice.

Although wanting to increase, if one only takes this as the path, clinging to experiences, clarity, and non-conceptuality, Homage! Having ascended to the top of the self-righteous castle, scrutinizing others with a critical eye, and again sitting triumphantly on the throne of a fine horse, if I were to measure those who waste this life with wisdom, they have also revolved in samsara due to dualistic clinging in the past, having made the cause of revolving in samsara. Now, if one still clings to this and strives to practice, then it will become a huge foundation stone of samsara, needless to say. Some say that thoughts are like flashes of lightning, and the wisdom of awareness shines like light, this very inseparability of appearance and awareness is the correct path. Some say that as soon as a thought arises, recognizing the arising one and the knowing one as inseparable is also the same meaning. If it were like an eagle flying out of its nest, even discarding twenty-one thousand corpses of infants in a single day would seem too much. If one takes these as the path and remains on them, it is like a blind person without a guide getting lost in a vast wilderness. But this is also unavoidable at some stage of the path, for example, a person has three names—infant, youth, and old person—due to differences in age, similarly, one should understand according to differences in habit. I possess an unwavering self-nature path where Padmasambhava introduced me with symbols and words in experiences and dreams, and blessed the three doors of body, speech, and mind as the three vajras. In short, beginners enter the correct path through reason and habit. First, go to a secluded place, sit on a comfortable seat, and generate the supreme bodhicitta. Pray to the lama with intense devotion, and after receiving the four empowerments, recognize the mind as the master of the three doors of body, speech, and mind, and then excavate its emptiness. Then, carefully observe and analyze this thing called "mind," its initial source, intermediate dwelling place, and final destination, thereby revealing the truth that its place of origin, dwelling place, and destination are all empty. Also, this thing called "mind," this fellow who is always thinking wildly, what is its shape, color, form, origin, beginning, and end, is it substantial or insubstantial, what is it like?
