Do not lie on top of scriptures, and also do not light a fire at night or walk barefoot. Do not dispose of urine and feces in the same direction. Abandon all noisy chatter and watching plays and amusements. Cut off all expectations and doubts such as examining omens. Do not engage in divination, astrology, etc. Trample upon all things that should not be done or desired, except for vows and commitments. Regard all illnesses and sufferings as accomplishments, and verbally express and mentally think, "May it increase ninefold on top of that," and also try to make it happen. Even if good omens appear in food, wealth, clothing, gatherings, dream experiences, or manifestations, cut off all expectations and joy, as well as talking about them to others, and remain neutral without distinguishing between good and bad. And at all times and in all ways, have devotion to the lama, compassion for sentient beings, affection for Dharma brothers and sisters, and meditate on the impermanence of life. These are the most precious and essential points. The best practitioners regard gods and demons as their own mind, the middling practitioners regard them as the lama, and even the lowest practitioners visualize them as their parents. Cut off all fears, both great and small, dualistic grasping, expectations, and doubts as soon as they arise, so that they have no place to go. At that time, whatever fear arises that causes the body to tremble, speech to be improper, and the mind to be agitated, take the extent to which it provokes the three doors (body, speech, and mind) as the extent of the provocation. The extent of pacification is when fear subsides, the mind is released, and one feels happy and at ease, naturally abiding in the state where strength arises. The extent of decision is when various forms, both with and without form, gather together, are placed on a throne, are appointed as a leader, receive power, voluntarily become a slave, offer their life essence, and so on. In short, if one is certain that all appearances are self-appearances, and thereby gains a definite certainty, that is the highest extent of decision. If wisdom gains its own certainty, transcending the mere stability of intellect, mind, pride, and so on, and thereby has a thorough certainty about samsara and nirvana, and arises with the certainty of hearing, experience, and realization, then that is undoubtedly the extent of complete decision. In general, even if it appears that others are giving food, etc., do not consider it to be real. Do not strike with weapons, etc., because the extent of provocation is similar to the extent of pacification, and even the danger of being identified as one's own flesh and blood will be eliminated. Furthermore, even if insects, sentient beings, small and large objects, etc., cause harm to one's body, be certain that they are the veins, blood, etc., of one's own body, and therefore always avoid using weapons, etc., and...

Even if you acquire food and wealth, on that day, without eating, craving, or clinging, focus your mind on the Dharmadhatu. Do not change even for a moment regarding clothing, ornaments, benefactors, and the protection and control of others; hold your ground and recognize all phenomena as manifestations of the mind, thereby severing them. Do not listen to anyone, do not follow anyone, do not do anyone's work, but completely let go, lying like a corpse in a cemetery. At all times and in all circumstances, do not engage in faith, prayer, meditation, etc., for your own fear, protection, and support, but engage in prayer, devotion, meditation, etc., for the benefit of all beings, including gods and demons. In particular, like this, all sentient beings in samsara arise from clinging to the skandhas of self-grasping, the root of delusion, taking this clinging as the cause and the mind of immediate attachment as the condition. Therefore, in order to destroy the cherished skandhas in the intermediate stage, they should be distributed to gatherings and feasts, and the mind should be placed in a state free from elaboration. This is a profound method for cutting off dualistic clinging at its root, so strive to do it. Among these, there is the illusory body of the contaminated aggregates, the illusory body of desired pleasures, and the illusory body of manifested elements. All of these are empty in essence, and the consciousness that grasps emptiness as reality is the mind, so transfer the mind to the Dharmadhatu. T11611- 188 Transform objects into corpses. Recognize the giver as a magician, transform the body into whatever is desired, like a feast of illusions, and recognize the objects of giving as a marketplace of magical illusions. In the morning, distribute white objects, transforming them into piles of the three white and three sweet substances, offering them to the deities, attendants, protectors, virtues, beings of the six realms, compassion, obstacles, creditors, and the gods and demons who protect the white side. At noon, distribute variegated objects, transforming them into the wealth of wish-fulfilling jewels, distributing them to all four guests. In the evening, distribute red objects, transforming them into an ocean of flesh and blood, giving them to all the nagas, the eight classes of gods and demons. At midnight, distribute black objects, transforming them into black essence that washes away diseases, evil spirits, and obscurations, giving them to all the gods and demons of the phenomenal world. These are the things that should be done at the four times.
