Now, it is merely accumulating merit. In reality, fundamentally, the wisdom and qualities of the Tathagatagarbha are all perfectly complete in their own nature. The support is the palace, and the supported are the deities' mandalas, etc. All these separate explanations are to tame those who cling to permanence, allowing them to rely on the path of conventional effort and introducing them to the realm of ultimate effortless non-duality. This is the instruction of the three: clarity, purity, and emptiness. Om! Possessing the key points of the four life-sustaining nails, it leads to the realm of the unsurpassed fruit. These are the nail of clarity as deity, the nail of samadhi, the nail of the view of dharmata, and the nail of the nail of activity of drawing in and releasing. Among these, the first, the nail of clarity as deity, is that the body color, hand gestures, ornaments, and attire of the yidam deity are all vividly clear in the mind, thus reversing the ordinary clinging to appearances. If one possesses the key point of correct mindfulness, the generation stage will not be lost in one's own mindstream. Second, the nail of samadhi is to stabilize the pride of knowing oneself as the deity. Previously, while wandering in samsara, the habitual tendency to grasp the appearance of beings' bodies as self is ego-grasping. This is the agent of all appearances and thoughts. Therefore, as its antidote, one visualizes one's own body as the deity and continuously stabilizes the pride of being the deity without interruption. When clear appearance arises, it will eventually merge into the eight levels of clear stability. It is certain that it will become a huge object visible to the naked eye and tangible to the touch. As Vajradhara said: With unwavering devotion for six months, one will attain the state of Vajradhara. Therefore, one must not mix in human speech, one must not let the warmth of the cushion disappear, and one must not let the mind wander elsewhere. One must practice diligently. As the tantra says: The nail of samadhi is on the skull, hold the mind one-pointedly, without distraction. Thus, practicing without laziness is the nail of samadhi. Third, the nail of view is that one must be certain that from the Dharmakaya Samantabhadra above to the worm in the grass below, nothing transcends the play of the single Tathagatagarbha. If one does not realize this, even if one practices the wisdom deity, one will grasp at real characteristics, and in the end, one will only accomplish a worldly deity, not a wisdom deity.

Saṃsāra is like medicine being absent in poison. This is because of not realizing emptiness. If emptiness is realized as it is, it is like how a former yogi, by practicing The'u Rang (uncertain), effortlessly obtained the accomplishments of the four activities. If emptiness is not realized, even if Samantabhadra is practiced, only worldly achievements will be attained, and by practicing tranquility, one will only become a god of the form realm, and by practicing wrathful deities, one will only transform into demons and Rudras (Sanskrit: Rudra, Sanskrit Romanization: Rudra, Chinese literal meaning: Wrathful) and so on. As it is said in the tantra: If the view does not change and is not nailed down, even if the great glorious one is practiced, only common achievements will be attained, and supreme achievements will not be attained, and one will stray into the path of Rudra. Just as it is said. Therefore, although all appearances, existence, saṃsāra, and nirvāṇa are the play of self-appearance, one consciousness with the clinging to existence makes all containers, contents, and desirable qualities appear as truly existent. The manner in which the two, grasper and grasped, grasp what is not as existent and become deluded is like that of Geshe Sruldo-wa and the Tirthika cave meditator. Previously, a son of the gods asked Mañjuśrī: From where did the container and contents, such as Mount Meru, the sun, and the moon, arise? Mañjuśrī replied: They arose from the mind of a single sentient being. The son of the gods asked: Why do they arise from mere thoughts? Mañjuśrī replied: Previously, in Varanasi (Varanasi, Indian city), an old woman practiced transforming her body into a tiger in the first half of her life, and in the second half of her life, she actually became a tiger and destroyed many cities. Just like that story, if one clings to the Ālaya as truly existent from beginningless time, then such appearances will surely arise. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the meaning that all dharmas are emptiness. Therefore, once it is certain that the container and contents are self-appearance, one must remain in that state without making any changes. Just as Machig Labdrön (female Tibetan Buddhist yogi) said: If nothing is done in the mind, there will be no obstacles or wrong paths. Just as she said. Some logicians say that remaining without fabrication is the view of Heshang, but no one knows the definition of Heshang, because he is the one who can explain the Buddha's middle teachings, the dharma of no characteristics, to the mind. His faculties are extremely sharp. Previously, when Abbot Kamalaśīla (Master Lotus Root Precept) circled a broom around his head and asked him metaphorically: What is the root of the three realms of saṃsāra? He struck two woolen cloaks together and answered that it was the two, grasper and grasped.
