By transforming into offering clouds like the treasury of space, offerings were made to the six great Thubpas (Enlightened Ones) such as Thubpa, thereby completing the accumulations and purifying obscurations. Vowing to be the guide who saves from the suffering of hot and cold hells, the hunger and thirst of pretas, the ignorance of animals, the strife of asuras, the death and falling of gods, and the suffering of birth, old age, sickness, and death of humans, and entrusting them to be sent to liberation. Atoning for past debts involves dedicating desire-arising tormas to the lords and ladies of karmic debts, generated from the ripening of negative actions such as killing, plundering, and stealing, accumulated due to afflictions like anger, miserliness, ignorance, jealousy, pride, and desire from beginningless time of the deceased. By offering these tormas, all are satisfied and satiated, thereby purifying karmic debts, repaying debts, and eliminating grudges, with the aspiration to attain Buddhahood. The bathing empowerment involves visualizing the mirror-like wisdom of all the deities of the Vajra family, such as Bhagavan Vajrasattva; the discriminating wisdom of all the deities of the Padma family, such as Bhagavan Amitabha; the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu of all the deities of the Buddha family, such as Vairochana; the accomplishing wisdom of all the deities of the Karma family, such as Amoghasiddhi; the equality wisdom of all the deities of the Ratna family, such as Ratnasambhava; and the nectar stream blessed by the great self-arisen wisdom of the hearts of all the Buddhas, such as Shakyamuni, thereby purifying all the causes, seeds, and habitual tendencies arising from afflictions like anger, miserliness, ignorance, jealousy, pride, and desire, just as water washes away dust from a crystal ball or grime from a mirror. The life empowerment involves visualizing light rays like the fire at the end of an eon emanating from the heart of one's own yidam, burning away the causes, seeds, and habitual tendencies for rebirth in hells, pretas, animals, asuras, gods, and humans. At the soles of the feet is the seed syllable of hell (Tibetan: དུཿ, Devanagari: दु, Romanized Sanskrit: duḥ, Literal meaning: du), black; at the secret place is the seed syllable of pretas (Tibetan: པྲེཿ, Devanagari: प्रे, Romanized Sanskrit: preḥ, Literal meaning: pre), reddish-black; at the navel is the seed syllable of animals (Tibetan: ཏྲིཿ, Devanagari: त्र, Romanized Sanskrit: triḥ, Literal meaning: tri), ashen; at the throat is the seed syllable of asuras (Tibetan: སུམཿ, Devanagari: सुं, Romanized Sanskrit: suṃ, Literal meaning: sum), bluish-green; at the crown of the head is the seed syllable of gods (Tibetan: ཨཿ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: aḥ, Literal meaning: a), white; and at the heart is the seed syllable of humans (Tibetan: ནྲྀཿ, Devanagari: नृ, Romanized Sanskrit: nṛḥ, Literal meaning: nri), existing in the form of bluish-black, like fine hairs burning.
