From the great luminosity of all-pervading wisdom, without distinguishing time and occasion, just as when dawn breaks, there is no darkness in the day, wisdom manifests, and all coarse and subtle views and practices dissolve on their own, and the defilement of mind does not arise, this is the wisdom of gaining certainty. Furthermore, the qualities of the Sugata-garbha have not yet manifested, which is a sign that one has not transcended the obscuration of the alaya, and is the wisdom of the cause. Its example is like dawn breaking but the sun not yet rising. With intense diligence without relaxation, practicing, the wisdom of the cause awakens into the vast realm of the great fruit, entering the womb of the formless Dharmakaya, and extensively playing in the body and wisdom, this is the wisdom of the fruit. For example, when the sun rises, the light of dawn also dissolves into the sunlight, the wisdom of the fruit is very vast. In the initial stage, even if wisdom is recognized, one has not transcended even a hair's breadth from samsara, so it is established as the cause, and in general, the reason for speaking of the Fruition Vehicle is not that one assumes that one will attain the fruit of Buddhahood in the future, and now cultivates virtue with body, speech, and mind as the cause, but rather that one cultivates the nature of reality itself as the path, and liberation arises from within oneself, without the opportunity to obtain the fruit, so it is called the Fruition Vehicle. The fourth aspect also has two aspects, namely, consciousness and wisdom. The first is that the eye of wisdom is obscured, and aggregates arise from the alaya, scattering, arising and ceasing, creating in samsara, and is the nature of knowing and discerning. The second is that when the essence of consciousness manifests, although it seems as if an unprecedented radiance of wisdom blazes forth, in reality it is from the very beginning naturally arisen, merely manifested through recognition and familiarity. Ultimately, when the defilement of ignorance is purified in the Dharmadhatu, and consciousness is purified on the ground, from the wisdom qualities of the Buddha, even to the distinctions of the grounds and paths, it is not like the conceptual thoughts of the past and future, arising and ceasing, changing and transforming, but exists as a great self-arisen and self-manifesting, which is the wisdom of seeing as it is. The wisdom of the path is that when the obscurations of the alaya are removed, the gates of various appearances do not close, that is it. In short, wisdom dissolves into the inner radiance, sound, light, and play.

Know this. Fifth, there are also two types: deluded sentient beings and liberated Buddhas. The first, deluded sentient beings, are those who, due to attachment to appearances as containers and contents, self and other, wander and revolve in the six realms. The second is the very Buddha who is the essence of sentient beings, the self-face of the Sugata's heart essence made manifest. When the no (藏文:མ༷,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:no), stain (藏文:དག༷,梵文天城体:मल,梵文罗马拟音:mala,汉语字面意思:stain), appearance (藏文:སྣང༷,梵文天城体:आभास,梵文罗马拟音:ābhāsa,汉语字面意思:appearance), mind (藏文:སེམ༷,梵文天城体:चित्त,梵文罗马拟音:citta,汉语字面意思:mind) together with their habitual tendencies are exhausted, that is the meaning of liberation. Its nature is: vast and pervasive, free from change, not falling into any side, transcending all limits, overflowing with the play of body and wisdom, beyond objects, not establishing proponents and opponents, beyond the body, not falling into the extremes of self and other. In the state of the great bliss of the Dharmadhatu, the radiance of equanimous wisdom manifests, and one must know that this is not something that has become characterized by signs and limitations. The Vajracchedika Sutra says: "Those who see me in form, those who seek me in sound, those people are walking on a false path and cannot see the Tathagata." Buddhas are the nature of reality, and guides are the Dharma body. Because the nature of reality is unknowable, it cannot be fully understood. Therefore. Sixth, there are also two types: understanding and realization. The first, understanding the meaning of emptiness only in terms of intellectual speculation, grasping emptiness as emptiness, and viewing that even conventional truths such as karma and its results do not exist, are all inverted or mistaken understandings. The correct understanding is: by definitively establishing that all appearances are without inherent existence, selflessness is like an eye disease, non-inherent existence is like a dream, and in the environment of limitless space, cutting off from the root, ultimately at all times and in all ways, remaining in a state without clinging to reality is the stage of merely having understanding arise in the continuum in the first stage. The second, understanding (藏文:གོ༷་བ༷་,梵文天城体:अवबोध,梵文罗马拟音:avabodha,汉语字面意思:understanding) manifesting in its own nature (藏文:གཤིས་ཐོག་ཏུ་ཕེབས་པ༷་,梵文天城体:स्वभावस्थित,梵文罗马拟音:svabhāvasthita,汉语字面意思:abiding in its own nature), the actual certainty of realization (藏文:རྟོག༷ས་པར་,梵文天城体:अवगम,梵文罗马拟音:avagama,汉语字面意思:realization) is: all phenomena of grasping and being grasped appear vaguely like mirages, and there is no clinging there, becoming like a blur, at which time the state of appearances arising like illusions occurs. At all times and in all ways, awareness does not become confused as mind from its own environment, and is not fabricated or altered by mental thoughts and concepts, and like recognizing a dream, without clinging to reality, clinging dissolves on its own, and in the realm of the Dharmadhatu, which is completely all-encompassing, one experiences the joyful play of exuberance.
