These two are the meaning of generating Bodhicitta and, the way of training the mind. First, in the Ornament for Clear Realization it says: "Bodhicitta is for the sake of others, desiring perfect enlightenment." This means that the unfeigned mind that wants to attain the state of perfect Buddhahood for the sake of all sentient beings is Bodhicitta. It has two meanings or two aspects, namely, the thought of placing all sentient beings in the state of perfect Buddhahood, free from all obscurations and in the non-abiding Nirvana, which is the aspect of aiming at the benefit of others with the intention of benefiting others or with compassion; and for that purpose, I too shall attain the unsurpassed state of omniscient knowledge, which is the aspect of aiming at perfect enlightenment with the intention of enlightenment or with wisdom, so it is said that it must have these two aspects. Moreover, in the Chöd tradition, those eight main objects of Bodhicitta mentioned above, and in particular the harmful spirits and demons, are mainly taken as the objects of Bodhicitta. As it says in the Compendium: "In a dream, one sees sentient beings dwelling in the three lower realms. In that instant, one makes the aspiration to cut off the stream of the lower realms." And it also says: "For the Bodhisattva who has a long-standing connection here, to liberate the sentient beings of the gods, humans, and the three lower realms." This shows that Bodhisattvas are accustomed to generating compassion for sentient beings in the lower realms, so they speak in this way even in dreams. Most of the spirits and demons belong to the category of pretas and animals, and the gods, humans, and lower realms who are connected here from beginningless time in the form of parents, friends, etc., generally indicate the sentient beings of the six realms, and in particular the eight objects of Bodhicitta, and the spirits and demons belonging to the lower realms are taken as the main objects. The reason for this is that these spirits and demons experience various sufferings as the result of the ripening of evil deeds caused by afflictions in general, and in particular by harmful thoughts and hatred, and as a result of the similar cause, they always harm others with harmful thoughts, and only seek food of flesh and blood, and later they will continue to be born in the lower realms such as hell.

Now, not accumulating, is being without refuge and protector. Because it must be tamed by the practice of love and compassion alone, therefore it is emphasized. As the Four Hundred Verses says: Especially for a sick child, Like a mother feels pain. Likewise, Bodhisattvas, are more affectionate to non-saints. Just as Bodhisattvas are more affectionate to inferior beings tormented by suffering. If it is divided, there are two: aspiration and engagement. The Resting in the Nature of Mind says: The arising of the mind is for immeasurable beings, wanting to attain perfect Buddhahood, it has two natures of aspiration and engagement. Also, by thought it pervades aspiration, and by action it pervades practice. Like wanting to go and actually going. In general, based on identifying the essence of the arising of the mind, it is divided into two: aspiration and engagement. From the perspective of thought, wanting to attain perfect enlightenment for the benefit of others is the aspiration mind, and by action it pervades practice, that is, actually practicing, the arising of the mind of the four trainings is the engagement mind, which symbolizes wanting to go and actually going. That is what is taught. This is the conventional mind of enlightenment, while the ultimate mind of enlightenment is the wisdom of realizing directly the emptiness of the nature of all phenomena as pure as the sky. That is it. The Mahayana Sutra, Engaging in the Bodhisattva Deeds, says: The Bodhisattva Light Protector asked: Blessed One, how does one generate the mind? The Blessed One replied: All phenomena are without characteristics like the sky, and are originally clear and pure, that is called enlightenment. Corresponding to that, the precious mind that has not arisen before arises, that is called generating the mind of enlightenment. As it is said in the sutra. In order to realize it directly, from now on, one should become familiar with the meaning of emptiness, this is precisely this severance. In this way, the practice of training the two minds is included in it, as mentioned before. Second, the way of training the mind, there are four ways: training through the seven cause and effect instructions, training through the four immeasurables, training through exchanging self and others, and doing good and abandoning evil. First, training through the instructions, this is the intention of the Perfection of Wisdom.
