etābhyāṃ dvābhyāṃ duḥkhābhyāṃ jagadidaṃ pratidinaṃ vināśyate।

and harm and violence from non-humans, separation from beloved and agreeable relatives, which causes sorrow in the heart, lamentation, chest-beating, fasting, etc., which harm the body. Moreover, even if very close relatives and friends go to another country, the memory of their virtues and perfections causes various sufferings of the three doors. Furthermore, there is poverty and lack of desired enjoyments such as water and trees, and the occurrence of unwanted things such as diseases and evil spirits. And the non-fulfillment of desires such as utensils and residence, fame, etc., fatigue and exhaustion from various tasks and activities, and the fact that those who have been benefited do not repay the favor but instead cause harm. Even the most powerful, such as lamas and officials, are not obeyed by their retinue and others, and are instead treated perversely. Furthermore, they are slandered by jealous people, and their virtues are not praised. They are falsely accused of having faults that they do not have, and they are falsely accused of lacking virtues that they do have. From their own side, they are disturbed by jealousy of others' virtues, and their bodies and minds become uneasy. There are many such sufferings. Moreover, in the Collection of Sayings, it says: "All the sufferings of the lower realms appear in humans. The torment of suffering is like hell, and poverty is like the realm of Yama. Even the suffering of animals here is such that the powerful oppress and harm the powerless with force, like a river. Some suffer from poverty, and others, even if they have wealth, do not know contentment, and suffer from constantly seeking enjoyments, etc., and everyone quarrels and kills each other." Furthermore, there are different sufferings depending on whether one is high or low. In the Four Hundred Verses, it says: "The best have mental suffering, and ordinary people have suffering arising from the body. These two sufferings destroy the world day by day." This means that the best people, such as kings, have mental suffering because of the great burden on their minds, while ordinary people mainly have physical suffering arising from poverty and being enslaved by others. Even those who are known as the lords of all the heavens have such

If there are various kinds of suffering, who would not be weary of this world? Alas, the thought of being happy and joyful is foolish. The Thus-Gone One said to his own brother: "If even happy people suffer such pain, then what is the meaning of this world?" I believe this to be a true statement. This is an intermediate verse. Second, contemplating the suffering of the Asuras: In general, there are five types of Asuras. From the "Wish-Fulfilling Jewel Treasury": Asuras also have five types: long-lived glorious gods, powerful Yakshas, violent demons, murderous Rakshasas, and malicious Nagas, and beings are also like that. Bodies and lifespans are also uncertain and varied. Long-lived glorious gods, such as the Good Splendor Painting, etc., some have glory and good fortune equal to the gods of the Thirty-Three (Trayastrimsa). Powerful Yakshas, possessing great wealth and power, their power and magical abilities are equal to the Four Great Kings. Violent demons like the dark side. Murderous Rakshasas, harming sentient beings and wandering in the sky, are similar to the side of the hungry ghosts. Malicious Nagas, their bodies and enjoyments have turned to powder, they have suffering and happiness, and become foolish, also known as the deluded animal realm. Beings must also be classified into these categories, and it is said that they are classified into two types: gods and animals. Bodies and lifespans are also uncertain. What kind of suffering do they have? From the "Wish-Fulfilling Jewel Treasury": Asuras are also full of anger and strife, unwanted things befalling them, and death, etc., possessing various kinds of suffering, without happiness. Due to the anger in their hearts, the Asuras fight and quarrel with the gods of the Thirty-Three, and their own groups also fight each other. The storm of jealousy sweeps in, the fire of hatred burns, suffering various kinds of pain, wishes cannot be fulfilled, unwanted things befall them, and death, etc., there are countless sufferings. From the "Letter to a Friend": Asuras are naturally hatred of the glory of the gods, therefore their inner pain is great. Even if they have wisdom, they are obscured by the obscurations of beings, unable to see the truth.
