铁锅之火 在燃烧的铁锅中，像用烧红的铁棍和麦芽一起玩耍一样，让他们嬉戏。让他们在烧红的铁山上上下下，又从口中伸出舌头，用铁钉钉住，像对待牛皮一样摊开，不留一丝皱纹和褶皱。又让他们仰面躺在铁地上，用铁钳掰开他们的嘴，把燃烧的铁锤放进去，或者灌入滚烫的铜汁，烧焦他们的嘴、喉咙和肠子，从下身流出。这些只是粗略的伤害，还有许多其他各种各样的伤害。正如《释论》中所说：“普通旃檀末劫火，地狱之火亦依次，七倍炽热极，如是痛苦七倍增。”意思是说，旃檀之火比普通火热七倍，末劫之火比旃檀之火热七倍，也就是劫末毁灭之火。从那以后，七倍于复活，从那以后，黑绳等，越来越热，痛苦也越来越大。 嗡！那些痛苦要经历多久呢？虽然大经中用人年和天年数字的换算来说明，但为了便于理解，只用人年来衡量。一万亿六千二百亿年是八热地狱中最短命的复活地狱的寿命。据说，后面的地狱寿命会增加两倍。这些数字的量是：十亿亿，一百亿亿，一千亿亿。如果用亿来衡量，复活地狱的寿命据说可以达到六千六百二十亿年。黑绳地狱是一万亿零六千二百亿人年。众合地狱是一千亿零一万九千六百亿人年。呼号地狱是一亿零三万六千八百亿人年。大呼号地狱是八亿零二百亿人年。

These are just rough harms, and there are many other various harms. As it is said in the commentary: "Ordinary sandalwood, end-time, and hellfire are also in order, seven times hotter, likewise, suffering increases sevenfold." It means that sandalwood fire is seven times hotter than ordinary fire, and the fire of the end of the kalpa is seven times hotter than sandalwood fire, which is the fire of destruction at the end of the kalpa. From then on, seven times more than resurrection, from then on, black rope, etc., are hotter and hotter, and the suffering is also greater and greater. Om! How long will those sufferings last? Although the great sutras explain it in terms of the conversion of human years and heavenly years, for ease of understanding, it is measured only in human years. One trillion six hundred and twenty billion years is the lifespan of the shortest-lived resurrection hell among the eight hot hells. It is said that the lifespans of the later hells will increase by two times. The measure of these numbers is: ten billion trillion, one hundred billion trillion, one thousand billion trillion. If measured in billions, the lifespan of the resurrection hell is said to be able to reach six thousand six hundred and twenty billion years. The Black Rope Hell is one trillion and six thousand two hundred billion human years. The Combined Crushing Hell is one hundred billion and thirty thousand six hundred and eighty billion human years. The lifespan of the Great Crying Hell is six billion six hundred million three hundred billion five thousand billion two hundred million years. The lifespan of the Hot Hell is five hundred million three million eight hundred thousand four trillion three thousand six hundred years. The two lowest hells cannot be measured in years; the Extremely Hot Hell lasts for half a medium kalpa, and the Avici Hell lasts for one medium kalpa. As it is said in the "Letter to a Friend": Such unbearable suffering, even if experienced for hundreds of millions of years, will not be separated from life until the non-virtuous karma is exhausted. The hundreds of millions of years mentioned here do not refer to a specific number, but rather to experiencing it for a long time. As long as the karmic power of experiencing these sufferings is not exhausted, one must continue to experience them. Second, the Peripheral Hells: Each of the eight Hot Hells has four faces and four doors. Outside these hells, there are iron fences surrounding them, and each direction has a door. From each door, four additional hell beings gather: the Pit of Burning Ashes, the Mire of Rotting Corpses, the Forest of Weapons, and the Impassable River, totaling sixteen. That is, when these beings of the Hot Hells are close to being liberated from the Hot Hells, they will have the thought of seeking a place to live, and then go outside and reach these places. There are also some beings who are not born directly in the Hot Hells, but are born in these places. First, the Pit of Burning Ashes: Known as the Fire Madman, the surface is ashes, and below is a burning flame. When the foot is placed on it, everything below the knees will sink into the flame, and the skin, flesh, and blood will be burned away. When the foot is lifted, the skin and flesh will regrow. When it is stepped on again, it will be as before. Second, the Mire of Rotting Corpses: After coming out of there, one will enter a foul-smelling mire of impurity, and everything below the head will sink into it. In the mire, there is a worm called the Sharp-Mouthed Worm, whose mouth is as rough and long as an iron thorn, and it will pierce through the skin, flesh, tendons, and bones, drilling all the way to the soles of the feet. Third, the Forest of Weapons: After coming out of there, one will enter the Forest of Weapons.
