Therefore, one should strive to practice the path of the Great Vehicle, which is the supreme essence of taking advantage of this leisure and endowment. As it is said in the instructions: "This human body with eighteen qualities of leisure and endowment is the result of good deeds in the past. If we do not make it meaningful this time, the fruits of past good deeds will be exhausted, and there will be no opportunity to seek happiness in the future." Therefore, we should strive to cultivate virtue with the three doors of body, speech, and mind. As it is said. The support endowed with the qualities of leisure and endowment is highly praised as a body superior to the gods. Obtaining such a meaningful human body is superior to a wish-fulfilling jewel. It is also difficult to obtain in the future, so take the essence in this life. This is also an intermediate verse. Second, contemplate impermanence and death: The external world is impermanent, experiencing destruction, formation, and existence; sentient beings in the internal world experience the trading season of birth and death; years, months, days, and hours are like the gestures of a dance; pray to the Lama to remember impermanence and death. The external world is impermanent, eventually it will be destroyed, initially it will be formed, and in between it will be in a state of existence, thus changing and unstable. The internal sentient beings experience the order of birth and death, which is impermanent, like merchants gathering in a trading season. Furthermore, the parts of years, months, days, and hours change slightly, like dancers changing their costumes and showing various different postures. Thus, all compounded things are impermanent. In particular, one's own life is also exhausted in an instant and dies. However, due to the idea that one will not die, one has wasted this life until now. Now, one must know and remember the truth of impermanence and death, and pray to the Lama. There are three points to this: the reason why the external and internal worlds are impermanent through the four stages of formation, existence, destruction, and emptiness; especially the reason why one's own life is impermanent and dies; and explaining other reasons for impermanence. The first point is: In Resting the Mind in its Natural State, it says: The external and internal world is impermanent, sentient beings experience formation and destruction. Seven suns and one water When scattered by the wind, the surrounding oceans, continents, and mountains, as well as Mount Meru, are also impermanent, and when everything becomes one space, it will definitely come, so store the Dharma from the heart.

Thus, contemplate the arising, abiding, destruction, and emptiness of the sentient and insentient realms. First, the principle of formation: As stated in the Abhidharmakośa, "From the first wind of formation, up to the realm of hell beings." This means that after the previous world has been destroyed, the empty space remains for a long time. Initially, due to the karma of sentient beings, wind arises, forming a wind mandala, and the period until one sentient being is born in the Avīci hell is the formation kalpa. If the previous world was destroyed by fire, then everything below the first dhyāna will be destroyed, thus forming the wind of the land of the Brahma palace. If destroyed by water, then everything below the second dhyāna will be destroyed, thus forming the wind of the lower land of the gods of clear light. If destroyed by wind, then everything below the third dhyāna will be destroyed, thus forming the wind of the lower land of the gods of increasing virtue. It is not that the lower wind mandala of this world must be held. Furthermore, regarding the two, the container and the contained, the order of the container is that those that are formed first and are not connected to the earth are formed in descending order; those that are connected are formed in ascending order. As it is said in the scriptures, what is destroyed last during the destruction kalpa is formed first during the formation kalpa. If the previous world was destroyed by fire, then the Brahma palace is formed first, then the lower dhyāna heavens are formed in order, as well as the desire realm, the Paranirmitavasavartin gods, up to the Anāgāmin palace. Those are places not connected to the earth, so they are formed in that way. Everything below the Trayastriṃśa heaven is connected to the earth, so everything below the Trayastriṃśa heaven must be formed after the container is formed. After that, gradually, the wind rises from below and accumulates for a long time, so the lower wind mandala of this world is vast and wide, with a width and height of many yojanas, and the name of that wind is "Gentle." The shape is round, the color is blue-green, and it is very hard, so that even a vajra cannot destroy it. After that, due to the karma of sentient beings, clouds with golden essence gather in the sky. From those clouds, rain falls as thick as the axle of a chariot, accumulating for a long time, so a huge water mandala is formed on top of the wind mandala. That water mandala is churned by the wind from all four directions, and most of it becomes an ocean, and a small part of it forms a golden land on top of the ocean. That is also
