When manifestations arise, it is the measure of completion (tsar tshad), and actually obtaining it is the measure of determination (chod tshad). The measure of determination is said to be the sign of the completion of the measure of completion. Furthermore, the supreme measure of completion has uncommon aspects, such as the four: outer, inner, secret, and Suchness. Whatever thoughts of the four maras may arise, wherever they may appear, there is no fear. Especially towards the gods and demons of phenomenal existence, crunching their heads with a chomping sound, tearing out their hearts with a ripping sound, if there is no fear or apprehension, that is considered the outer measure of completion. Also, when heart ailments, madness, and possessions, etc., all the mental pains are pacified, and especially towards praise and blame, etc., if joy and displeasure do not arise, that is considered the inner measure of completion. Seeing the lama as the actual Buddha, spontaneously generating compassion, emptiness dawns without recollection, faith is gained in the law of cause and effect, whatever arises is within the state of great wisdom, the qualities of the ultimate fruition are obtained, that is considered the supreme measure of completion. In short, for all of these, if there is no arrogance, it is the measure of completion, that is considered the secret measure of completion. And, begging, pride, and the measure of completion, these three should be known in one's own mind, the mind is truly inexpressible, all is the equality of the Dharmakaya, that is the Suchness measure of completion. This is said in relation to seeing the reality of the mind. Moreover, the measure of determination is superior to the measure of completion, as mentioned above, it is very clear in the teachings of Machig. In some texts, these two are considered the same, and are referred to by either name, and in some texts, the meanings of these two are reversed, and the measure of completion is said to be superior, therefore it is necessary to distinguish. It is necessary to distinguish. The secret and Suchness measures of completion that were just quoted, seem to refer to actually generating such realization. If that is the case, then these two should not be considered contradictory in any way. If these two are considered different, then like the measure of completion of the supreme accomplishment mentioned above, it can also be established as generating such experience. Machig's teachings say that the measure of determination requires obtaining the first bhumi of the path of seeing, which also seems to be in terms of the main aspect. Furthermore, it is important to know that there is a begging measure similar to the completion measure, and there is a completion measure similar to the begging measure. For example: giving blood and black people food, wearing armor on the body, giving brown sugar, giving onions and radishes, saltpeter.

Giving bad food such as sugarcane and sugar. Women imitate gorgeous gestures. Giving these foods in order to deceive. That is a similar amount of solicitation. And, beating yaks and fierce beasts, attacking with knives and swords, if bleeding, that is punishment. Like that, the said similar amount of solicitation is punishment. Karma Chakme's intention is: In the chapter on practicing secret teachings, regarding extraction and severance teachings, the punishments similar to illusions are: attacking back with weapons, hitting with horns, biting with teeth, self-harm, any relative dying unnaturally, one's own house collapsing, encountering fire, losing a large number of livestock, being taken by enemies, poisoning, eating oneself, Garuda, snakes, and fish swallowing oneself, Destroying one's own body like dust, eating one's own heart, others giving one's lungs and heart to oneself, these, although similar to illusions, are punishments. The illusions similar to punishments are: many women of different castes giving respect, many yakshas giving respect and welcoming, wearing black and blue hats, laying blue and black mats, Blue clothes, black armor, giving black wool, alkali, salt, raw meat and uncooked meat, onions and vegetables, wheat and buckwheat, Monpa girls, black oil, iron tools, sugarcane, Black things and so on, wearing new red clothes, going to a garden of red flowers, etc., these are disguises. Thus it is said, giving those foods, and, Respectful treatment is also similar to punishment, but most bad foods are deception, so it is a solicitation. Attacking with knives and swords, etc., is harm, although similar to solicitation, it is a sign of purification of sins. Precious possessions being taken by enemies, taking out the heart is a sign of abandoning cherished things, so it is punishment. In reality, if offering without reason, That is a sign of severance. If defective food and possessions appear, that is a sign of non-severance. This depends on the good and bad of dependent origination. Dream signs are auspicious, but if the mind is uneasy, that is non-severance. If a symbol of punishment appears in a dream and the mind is at peace, that is a sign of severance. In particular, like a nail that does not deviate from the point, it is impossible to judge whether it is good or bad, although it resembles a good sign, but if one observes one's own consciousness, one will find it accompanied by excitement and commotion mixed with arrogance, or attachment to fame and gain, etc.
