After doing this without interruption, observe where and how that truly existent one with a true name went at that time. Even if it is not established from the beginning, recognize that clinging to arising and ceasing or going and coming is perverse. Third, from the ten examples of illusion, etc., What do you want? Therefore, all that appears has the same characteristics as the ten examples of illusion and dreams, etc. Therefore, from the perspective of appearance, it is merely appearance, but from the perspective of emptiness, nothing is established, because it is empty. Just as it is not yet established in the object, why do you want it in the object? It should not be wanted. Fourth, from the daytime appearance of "I" and so on, who will take it? It is said. Like this, during the daytime appearance, one clings to all appearances of oneself, such as "I" and "other," as true, and not as false. If that is true, then the appearance of a dream, when dreaming, like the daytime appearance, dreaming of oneself and others, etc., all appearances during the dream will be known as untrue. According to your view, that is true. If it is not like that, from the perspective of daytime appearance, one sees the daytime appearance as truly established, and from the perspective of dream appearance, one sees the dream appearance as true, then where is the true establishment of the daytime appearance placed during the dream appearance? Has the body also died naturally and the corpse been abandoned in another place? Where are the objects of the dream appearance, etc., during the daytime appearance? From what causes and conditions did the sentient beings, male and female, etc., in the dream appearance arise? Where is the form of the dream hidden or disappeared? Abandoning this body born from the causes and conditions of the parents of this life's appearance, what are the parents and causes and conditions of the person who goes to the next life? Now born from causes and conditions, Because of the fear of the occurrence of diseases and sufferings, etc., in this body, when separated from this body, in the bardo, etc., whose body will receive those sufferings? Because this body no longer exists. The key to these is that during the day, one clings to the daytime appearance as true, and during the dream, one clings to the dream appearance as true. Then what distinguishes the truth and falsehood of the two? There is no distinction. In reality, it is only that the place of appearance has changed, and nothing else has been established. That is what is to be expressed. Fifth, similarly, from the three times, etc., why does it not collapse? It is said. Similarly, at any time in the past, present, and future, the dharma that is happening and will happen

The nature of the body is the ever-present, unborn, and unceasing equality. For the appearance of something never experienced before, it is held as true by the mind that clings to the past. For the appearance of something that will not occur in the future but appears, clinging to the future time itself as true is why the future time arises. Even now, due to clinging to phenomena as things that are mistaken as established when they are not, this appearance arises in the present time. Therefore, since there is no dharma encompassed by the three times, it is determined that all situations and appearances encompassed by it are merely appearances. Why not destroy and collapse the false house of illusion? If you contemplate how dream appearances arise, you will understand them as they are. Third, there are four points to collapsing the false house of hope and fear: A general explanation of how to refute attachment to the object of hope—the Buddha; a separate explanation of how to abandon the imputation of attachment through the aspects of things, names, and knowables; an explanation of the Buddha of the ultimate reality of suchness; and an explanation of the distinction between the faults and merits of such realization and non-realization. The first is: from the object of hope—the Buddha, etc., to "Illusions also appear." It means that if the good Buddha of the object of hope is clung to as the form of vessel and essence, then it is not enlightenment, because there is no difference from the impure vessel and essence. Why? Because what is called Buddha is without such characteristics of things, names, and dharmas. To designate the characteristics of the Buddha as arranging vessel and essence, etc., is ignorance. From the eggshell of ignorance, liberated, by the radiance of the self-nature of wisdom, the nature of equality that is without direction, vast, boundless, and universally expansive, is merely called Buddha. In this way, from the state of knowing as it is and seeing as it is, free from obscurations, illusions will also manifest the self-appearing teacher as a form body, like a dream, as long as the dualistic clinging of sentient beings who can be tamed has not disappeared. The second is: from "For it, the senses, etc.," to "Is it not a demigod?" It means that for such a pure Buddha, one is also separated from the five senses, etc., as well as the characteristics composed of the substance of form, and the form of vessel and essence.
