Where are you going? It's uncertain, do you understand? These words are the instructions given by the old man Dudjom Dorje (Tibetan: བདུད་འཇོམས་རྡོ་རྗེ།) to Jomo Sangye Dronma (Tibetan: ཇོ་མོ་སངས་རྒྱས་སྒྲོན་མ།) when he was drunk from alcohol and various thoughts arose in confusion, and are related to the prophecy of the Dakini TⅠ1618 - 333 May the virtue of the accurate transcription by his own student Ngawang Trinley (Tibetan: ངག་དབང་ཕྲིན་ལས།) bring goodness and auspiciousness in all directions, times, and circumstances! Good! Excellent! Auspicious! The Collected Songs of Dudjom TI1618 - 334 TI1618 - 334 ༄༅། །The all-pervading Lord of the Wheel, Padmasambhava (Tibetan: པདྨ་འབྱུང་།), inseparable, dwells as the ornament of great bliss on my crown. Having entered the swift path of the profound secret with one-pointedness, if you truly desire to attain Buddhahood in this life, I will instruct you in the essential condensed instructions of the secret oral teachings. Alas! Appearances and existence, samsara and nirvana, all phenomena, are emptiness, the basis for imputation when searching for a name. All appearances of desirable qualities, established by substance and initial contact, are like illusions and dreams, appearing without being, like the moon in water. In the state of knowing this nature, abandon clinging to reality. The appearance of gods and the appearance of demons, virtuous and non-virtuous dharmas, look at their state of being devoid of a root. All appearances of the realms of samsara and nirvana, appearing without being, like a mirage. The emptiness of the radiance of realizing it as it is, is primordially enlightened as Samantabhadra. Conventional and ultimate, definitive and provisional meanings, all dharmas related to skillful means and wisdom, are perfectly complete in the self-existing awareness. Understanding this nature is the king of views. Meditation is the state of being free from aiming, the vast expanse of space being thoroughly comprehended. It is free from meditative aims and grasping effort. Action is the virtuous and non-virtuous dharmas of body, speech, and mind, placing everything in the great spontaneity of the original state, relaxing and liberating without fabrication, without cultivation, without effort. There is no more essential point of action than this. From self-enlightenment on one's own ground, there is no going to another sacred place, no traveling and arriving. The result is self-enlightenment. The essence of the three doors, the three aspects, like the root, trunk, and fruit of a tree, like the outer vessel and the inner essence, the essence realm of outer arising and inner arising, bindus and the basis of arising wisdom. Self-born and self-perfect, complete in oneself. The six ways of abiding and looking, knowing the nature as it is, and finally, in the great manifestation of self

May diseases be dispelled. If one has the fortune to practice without interruption, without exceeding twelve years, one will attain rainbow body and great transference. This is the profound and special instruction. You are so important, urging again and again, truly and without turning back. Do not forget this old man's rambling words, keep them in your heart. In caves, mountain caves, and huts, do not lose the ability to use your hands and feet. Focus single-mindedly on the essential practice. The boundary between samsara and nirvana is right now. Know this. This was spoken by the old man Dudjom Dorje at the urging of Dema Sangye Dronma, and written by Ngawang Trinley. May this also be the cause of benefit and happiness for all beings. Sarva Mangalam (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, sarva maṅgalaṃ, all auspicious). The lord, the master with nine qualities, always protects. O virtuous nun who binds life to Dharma. All phenomena of appearance, existence, and governance are fundamentally emptiness, the magical display of the sky. Realizing the nature as it is, is the view. Manifesting the essence is the profound meditation. The ground, trekchö, view, and meditation are of one essence. It is the supreme essence of the enlightened intent of the victorious ones of the three times. It is the heart's blood of the mothers, the dakinis. It is the life force of the protectors who guard the teachings. It is the utterly profound tögal. The lamp of heart (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, citta, Romanized Sanskrit, citta, heart) flesh, and the vein (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, kāti, Romanized Sanskrit, kāti, vein) kati crystal tube. The lamp of eye (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, akṣi, Romanized Sanskrit, akṣi, eye) long-range water, are the three lamps of the outer vessel. The lamp of the pure realm of space, the lamp of the essence, the empty thigle, and the lamp of the ground, the self-arisen wisdom, are the three lamps of the inner essence. If one is skilled at continuously placing the meaning of one essence into the great expanse, without passing through another life, you will manifestly attain enlightenment in the Akanishta realm of self-appearing meaning, O virtuous nun. Just as a lotus is not stained by mud, may you not be stained by the conditions of existence. Residing in solitary mountain retreats, how wonderful, how joyful, how happy, how happy. Until the time of death, rely on solitary places and strive in practice. May the blessings and accomplishments of the ocean of victorious ones of the three times, and the ocean of the three lineages of fathers, effortlessly arise. I, the old man, have no other advice than that. That is heart (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, citta, Romanized Sanskrit, citta, heart).
