Treasure of Accomplishment. Have love and respect for your Dharma friends, and hold your vows and commitments as dear as life itself. For your kind parents of the six realms, cultivate loving-kindness, compassion, and the desire for their benefit and happiness. This life is like an illusion, like a dream. From the depths of your heart, cut off attachment to permanence. In the next life, there are no relatives, friends, or protectors. Quickly rely on solitary places without companions. Life is impermanent, vanishing in an instant. Wealth is impermanent, like food and possessions in a dream. Actions are like a farmer's work, like children's games. Wanting happiness is like a cuckoo wanting food. All of this has no meaning or essence. In a deserted valley garden, in a sacred rock mountain mansion, dedicate this life to the holy Dharma. Having abandoned laziness and distraction, focus single-mindedly on the essential practice. All phenomena of samsara and nirvana, the basis is vast emptiness. In the unaltered natural state, T1618 - 179 The basis is empty in its own place. Having realized its state as it is, the nature manifests as the realm of the Dharmakaya. Abide in your own ground without interruption. From the garden of solitary retreat, practice the secret swift path of Tögal (Leap Over). All experiences of pleasure and pain, all uncertain appearances, in the manner of great non-attachment, rest in the unaltered natural state. In this life, liberation will be attained, and it will not be meaningless. If you possess this way, you will have a long life. If you do not practice and abandon it, you are assigning yourself difficult and laborious tasks. What is the point? Reflect deeply and clearly. This was spoken by Düdjom to the capable disciple Dorje. T1618 - 180 May the all-encompassing form of Padmasambhava protect all the Buddhas. You, who are connected by aspiration and karma, if you truly wish to practice the sacred Dharma, abandon the ten non-virtuous actions like poison. Do not forget death, hold it as dear as life. Sincerely and without hypocrisy, focus on actual practice. The supreme path among paths is the swift path of the Great Perfection. Effortless, spontaneous, great freedom. If you are fortunate enough to practice this key point, then establish the great emptiness of samsara and nirvana. The state of emptiness is clear and pure, free from defilements. All dharmas are unmixed, appearing as anything, like stars in the ocean. Merely appearing, it appears as the non-dual play. The Dharmakaya of equality, primordial purity, and the manifestation of the basic realm.

Once the inherent wisdom is directly recognized, Again, all the impure and degenerate appearances and minds, Forcefully transform into the appearances of pure, great, and luminous clarity, When practicing this great path, the experiences of the four appearances will arise: First, when the direct appearance arises, Cut off attachment to the relaxed and loose state. When the yogic experiences and appearances further Increase, Illness, happiness, and suffering are like ripples on the water, When they arise, recognize them as traces of illusory experiences, Thus, abide in the realm free from hope and fear. If deceived by experiences, chasing after sensual desires, Even if you travel all over the world, you will not attain liberation. Rely on a blessed practice place with powerful blessings, To proceed to the land of liberation. If you say you need oral instructions, this is very important, If you practice this key point, it is of great significance, If you are careless and abandon it, it is of no use. Do not forget these, these are the heartfelt words of an old man. At the repeated request of the disciple Zangthal Drime, the old man Dudjom spoke thus. Homage to the Guru) In the vast expanse of emptiness, where samsara and nirvana are equally pure, The spontaneously perfect Dharmakaya and the treasury of wisdom, To suit the dispositions and capacities of those to be tamed, All the experiences, realizations, and fruits of the paths and stages arise naturally. The treasury of Dharmata, free from elaboration, like the sky, Go towards the direct realization of Rigpa-emptiness, the Great Perfection. Ah Ho! Listen again, fortunate individuals, The thoughts of being without leisure, doing things that are not Dharma, If you think you are accumulating merit in samsara, Then when will you attain the state of omniscient Buddhahood? Without hardship, resting on your own bed, The state of perfect Buddhahood will naturally be accomplished in you. By the actions of mouth and hands without leisure, If you look at who has attained liberation, The distance is as far as heaven and earth. If you examine the self-nature of the appearances of the six objects, Everything is emptiness, abiding in no place. Comparable to the ten similes of dreams and illusions, It is only appearance, without inherent existence. In the emptiness, clarity, and stainless sky, The deluded appearances and minds spread like samsara, Like reflections in a mirror, the ocean, and the stars, It is only appearance, and nothing else. When you realize that everything is without inherent existence, Samsara and nirvana will manifest as the Great Perfection. In the primordial purity, unclouded, vast, and pervasive Dharmadhatu, The true nature of reality is directly realized.
