If you wish to enter the profound path of single-pointed liberation, Please understand this. This precious human body with leisure and endowment, Is the fruit of accumulating vast merit. Look at the present activities to see how difficult it is to obtain. Do not waste it meaninglessly, fortunate son. Life is impermanent, like the shadow of the sun. Family is impermanent, like guests at a market. Enjoyment is impermanent, like a magic show. This life is impermanent, like last night's dream. Knowing these four similarities, cut off the attachment to permanence. Offer the precious and good things to the field of the Three Jewels. Urge the three doors to be virtuous without delay. Give alms again and again to the birds in winter who are extremely poor and suffering from hunger and thirst. Protect all high and low with equal love and compassion. As a result of this cause, obtain the glory of higher realms. T11618 - 113 The result of accumulating bad karma is obtaining a bad body. When unbearable suffering comes upon you, No one can save you, you must bear it alone. Thinking about this, abandoning bad karma is the key. Turning around in the realm of existence for a lifetime, Committing evil in old age, regretting it at death is too late. Wherever you are born in the high or low realms of samsara, Like being in a pile of poisonous snakes and a pit of fire, There is not the slightest happiness without suffering. Therefore, seek the state of permanent happiness. The Three Jewels are infallible and certain, Therefore, it is essential to rely on refuge without ever separating. The source of all accomplishments is the lama. Always rely on him with strong faith and devotion. The six kinds of sentient beings are the nature of parents, Take on the benefit of others with the four immeasurables. Spiritual brothers and sisters are friends on the path, Have love.
