Know that it is very rare to find stability for more than a short time in the wilderness. During this time, sometimes a supreme deity appears, and the mind abides there; sometimes the appearance of a pure land appears, and one stably abides there; sometimes any kind of special bliss, clarity, or non-thought arises, and one abides there; sometimes the appearance of a lama, rainbow, light, and bindu arises, and one Oṃ (藏文,梵文天城体:ॐ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡)! abides there, etc. Know that this is not entirely certain due to the activity of each individual's own channels and elements. Thus it was said. Again, Great Empty Infinity asked: O Bhagavan, please explain how experience and realization arise through practice! The Blessed One replied: O Vajra of Mind, In all the previous tantras, agamas, and instructions, only the nature of awareness is shown nakedly, and only the manner in which the signs of experience arise is shown, because the differences in elements and faculties are inconceivable, and the experiences of experience are also inconceivable, so it is not certain in one way, and it is said in general terms, so know that. In this, the ways in which experience arises are various and inconceivable, and it is not certain that they arise, so it is impossible to express them. Only teachers who have great experience and know the history of the stages of the path, and who possess clairvoyance, can know and clarify them by the power of great wisdom. Or, even up to the ripened vidyadhara and the vidyadhara who has power over life, even if they do not know the manner of arising of experience, they can know it directly through clairvoyance. Even if they do not, they can liberate from experience by changing the combination of instructions and focusing their minds. For example, the gods who have attained samadhi and sages, brahmins, acharyas, etc., think of a few letters and meditate on samadhi, and whatever action they meditate for, later they recite for that purpose, and that action is accomplished. Just as if one visualizes for the sake of curing a disease, and later men and women recite for the sake of that disease, it is beneficial. If the vidyadharas fully recognize all diseases in experience, or teach the method of meditation and recitation for that purpose, then except for a few karmas that cannot be reversed, they will be eliminated, what need is there to mention guiding yogis into the path of experience? If it is not any of these, but directly instilling instructions into the disciple

If foolish teachers think that all experiences will arise in the continuum of a person, then they and others will be confused, and they will become the life-mara of the student. Why? Because external provocations of demonic tricks, internal provocations of various physical illnesses, and secret provocations of mental happiness and suffering, etc., may arise uncertainly as experiences. Those foolish and ignorant teachers explain the cause of arousing experiences, which is the mind's guidance; if experiences arise, they do not recognize the truth of the experiences, but instead regard the experiences as illnesses; They mistake the support as a ghost; they direct doubts towards death; when it becomes necessary to trust divination, astrology, and medical treatment; in these aspects, the truth of harmful ghosts and spirits will also appear; therefore, they may strive to perform various rituals and methods; no matter what they do, it will cause harm and not bring even a sesame seed's worth of benefit, and in the end, there will be no choice but death, just like swallowing the poison of cutting off life, this is how the teacher becomes the student's mara. Examine this reason carefully and skillfully apply the methods. Now, although many different names are used to explain the stages of the path in order to introduce insight, etc., here, the mindfulness on one's own path is regarded as a shepherd, and the conceptual thoughts are regarded as livestock; flickering and wavering appear, and various appearances of hope, fear, joy, and sorrow spread out, which is called "wriggling mindfulness." In general, for those who take the arising awareness as the path, sometimes as a sign of their own path, Whatever movement and thought arises, it is like a rock falling from a cliff hitting the ground, causing huge pits and destruction, creating a huge collapse on the three doors; no matter how many conceptual thoughts arise, they cause great discomfort and pain in the heart, like a sharp weapon piercing it; the appearance of dwelling in joy and moving in sorrow, feeling happy and comfortable; all appearances appear as forms of dust, and the colors become clear and bright; from the tip of the hair on the head to the tip of the toenails, all the internal and external parts of the body will alternately experience unbearable illnesses; or, a certain illness may appear, such as any of the four hundred and four types of imbalances of the four elements of wind, bile, and phlegm, tormented by various pains, and even eating and drinking will produce the appearance of harm.
