I, encountering others such as people, and various harmful appearances arising from going out of the house, market gatherings, etc., may cause uncertain illnesses, so there will be times when one needs to rely on medicine, divination, etc.; in the mind, there will be unbearable suffering, even feeling as if the heart is about to break; unable to fall asleep at night. Om (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओम्,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:唵); even if one falls asleep, it will be difficult to sleep like a patient afflicted with a serious illness; when waking up, one's mind is filled with suffering, like a mother who has lost her beloved child; one may even feel that one still has the ability to thoroughly understand or know, like a thirsty person longing for water; all thoughts of the five poisons of affliction will appear in turn, and one must follow them unbearably; there may be various uncertain experiences such as hoarseness, difficulty breathing, etc.; the power of the mind, all discriminations, whether happiness or suffering appears, dissolves in it, so it is called "dissolution," remaining in an unspeakable state; whether happiness or suffering appears, forgetting and disappearing occur simultaneously; regarding the sounds and forms of external appearances, one may also feel that I still have the ability to understand or know; all sights and sounds, such as the calls of birds and sparrows, are felt to be signs and omens for me, requiring various thoughts; also, from others, the voices of people, dogs, birds, etc., all feel like thorns piercing the heart; hearing others speak, it all feels like scolding and mocking oneself, thus generating unbearable anger; hearing or seeing others joking and laughing, one will also feel displeased with this, feeling that they are scolding oneself, thus uttering harsh words; because one is experiencing suffering, when seeing others, one will envy their happiness; due to constant doubts, one may even fear weapons and friends, generating fear, etc., all appearances are filled with uncertain hopes and worries; at this time, if one goes to sleep tonight, it will appear that another person will come tomorrow, seeing that person's face, form, consciousness, speech, and ghosts, etc., and feeling afraid of it.

Due to fear and anger, the clinging to attachment and hatred arises involuntarily, leading to sleeplessness; sometimes, a reverent devotion arises towards the Lama, a strong faith towards the Three Jewels, a definite renunciation and weariness towards samsara, and an intense compassion towards sentient beings, with tears streaming down uncontrollably. Sometimes it may also happen that all suffering vanishes without a trace, and like a clear sky, the stream of consciousness becomes clear and filled with joy and happiness; at the very beginning of the clearing of the coarse experience, after a god or demon, whichever it may be, visibly carries away the head, limbs, heart, etc., and after the appearance of rising steam, whether in reality, experience, or dream, all the suffering in the mind vanishes without a trace, and an experience like a cloudless sky arises, with joy and happiness gradually fading away. During this, the four mindfulnesses and the experiences of pleasure and pain may arise不定时; therefore, for all uncertain states, the spiritual friends who teach this path must know and realize them, be sure to know! For those of the fire element, the experience of happiness is more prevalent; for those of the earth element, the experience of dullness is more prevalent; for those of the water element, the experience of clarity; for those of the wind element, the experience of roughness; and for the element of space, the experience of emptiness is more prevalent. After all the pleasure and pain of experience have dissolved into the dharmadhatu, there is no need to modify the conceptual thoughts, but let them be. Abiding in this, all appearances become neither beneficial nor harmful, and abide in this; there will also be special experiences of bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality, as well as the appearance of gods, the appearance of demons, and subtle extrasensory perception. Because the functions of the channels and elements are different, it is more difficult for those of the wind and earth elements to have extrasensory perception and clear appearances. Extrasensory perception and visions are more likely to occur in those of the fire and water elements. Now, let's distinguish the boundaries of each stage with different names: when both movement and memory are integrated into one, and memory becomes focused, seeing clearly, this is called Vipassanā; at this time, if the experience of abiding is more prevalent, it is called Śamatha-Vipassanā combined. How can one see more clearly? In the past, even if one observed very diligently, it would be obscured by agitation and dullness, making it difficult to see; but now, even without much effort, all arising conceptual thoughts will manifest, thus seeing more clearly. This is the practice of this experience and appearance.
