Due to firmly holding onto the earth, and gaining stability in the realm of mind, one is reborn into the realm of desire gods; And, due to the manifestation of the gate of hatred, hell manifests; due to the manifestation of the gate of desire, hungry ghosts manifest; due to the manifestation of the gate of ignorance, the appearance of animals manifests; And, having accumulated a small amount of virtuous deeds, mixed with strong thoughts of jealousy; at the time of death, nourished by such craving, the appearance of Asuras manifests; It is like this. Although striving to accumulate merit and virtue, one is dominated by the causes of the five poisons of affliction; at the time of death, also nourished by the appearance of a virtuous mind, the appearance of humans manifests; on the basis of the fundamental ignorance that creates self-grasping, relying on the power of great contaminated virtue, having gained stability in the virtue of the mind, one is reborn and manifests as the gods of the three realms, which is like the manifestation of a dream. Thus, in the confused appearance, whether day or night, all container worlds appear in the realm of appearance; like their essence and vapor, sentient beings' shapes, colors, birthplaces, languages, etc., are not fixed, but various appearances manifest, the strength of virtue determines the three ways of appearance. Manifesting in three states, and, like the manifestation of clarity, dregs, and intermediate states from impurities, due to the action of motivation, the results of heavy, light, and intermediate non-virtuous actions, all the suffering of the container and its contents, manifest and are experienced in that way. The mind is clear, bright, and free from impurities, like the vast and expansive space of the sky, the six realms that manifest are inherently established, merely separated by names, but they are not merely independent gates with their own characteristics; the mind is clear and bright, the realm of form that manifests is unobstructed, for things with form, the object taken by the eye is the realm; there, taking the three—good, bad, and neutral—one names, grasps the meaning, and the subtle conceptualization that sees things as real is called the eye's grasping mind; in reality, for the two consciousnesses of the mind, coarse and subtle, they are called the eye's grasper and grasped. That appearance is not the object, like the stars in the ocean are not the ocean; Like there are no stars in the water, the appearance is not the mind; like the stars in the ocean that appear other than the ocean.

Likewise, there is no appearance other than the mind, dependent arising. It is crucial to determine that appearances are not established from the very moment they arise. If you think that the eye consciousness is form, then there is no form other than the eye consciousness. Furthermore, form and consciousness are inseparable, and only one form can arise at any time. Therefore, form is not permanent; it vanishes into the space as soon as it appears, appearing uncertainly. When the location changes, the object of appearance, the consciousness, only changes when there is no mind. For example, gross conceptualization knows how to walk, but when subtle conceptualization seems to stop, the earth, stones, mountains, rocks, plants, and creatures that appear with each step vanish into emptiness as soon as they appear, and then gradually arise and vanish into emptiness. Likewise, the subtle mind is called grasping. Grasping is wind, so there is the wind of arising; because it is subtle, there is the wind that changes location; because it grasps "I" as self, it appears as the body. The stability of pride, in which appearance and awareness do not cease, holds the basis of appearance and mind, so it is the wind of grasping, and the basis is all-pervading. Vastness, that place, far and near, etc., because it distinguishes all phenomena, it is the wind of distinguishing. Thus, all arising mind appearances All are destroyed into the basic, empty, vast realm, so it is called the wind of destruction. These five impure winds of samsara are no different from the mind's consciousness and subtle conceptualizations. Similarly, in the clear realm of mind, whatever arises as sound is called ear consciousness. The place where sound arises uncertainly, the gross mind is the object of the ear, and the subtle mind, which is the conceptualization of closely receiving sound, is called the grasping mind of the ear. Similarly, in the clear realm of mind, the place where smell arises is the nose consciousness. The place where smell arises uncertainly, the gross mind is the object of the nose, and the subtle mind, which is the conceptualization of closely receiving smell, is called the grasping mind of the nose. Similarly, the gross mind arises in the object of taste, and the place where taste arises there is the tongue's ability.
