If you do not know the difference between Buddha and sentient beings, you will fall into wrong views by seeing the Buddha as a sentient being, so distinguish them in this way: The Buddha is vast and pervasive, free from change, not falling into any direction, transcending all boundaries, the play of body and wisdom is boundless, transcending objects, not established as speaker and retinue, transcending body, not falling into the boundaries of self and other, in the state of the Dharmadhatu great bliss, the radiance of equally pervasive wisdom is manifested, not becoming a characteristic limit, know it in this way. Hey! Son of lineage, do not think that the Buddha has form. If you think so, Om! Isn't it regarding the one afflicted by the skandha of form as a sentient being? Do not think that the Buddha has consciousness. If you think so, isn't it regarding the one afflicted by the skandha of consciousness as a sentient being? Do not think that the Buddha has feeling. If you think so, isn't it regarding the one afflicted by the skandha of feeling as a sentient being? Do not think that the Buddha has perception. If you think so, isn't it regarding the one afflicted by the skandha of perception as a sentient being? Do not think that the Buddha has volition. If you think so, isn't it regarding the one afflicted by the skandha of volition as a sentient being? Do not think that the Buddha has a teaching retinue. If you think so, isn't it regarding the one afflicted by grasping and the grasped as a sentient being? Do not think that the Buddha has a self-object of teaching and being taught. If you think so, isn't it regarding the one afflicted by dualistic grasping as a sentient being? Do not think that the Buddha appeared in the past. If you think so, Isn't it regarding the one under the control of birth and death as a sentient being? Do not think that the Buddha will appear in the future. If you think so, isn't it regarding the one with the limits of gain and loss as a sentient being? Do not think that the Buddha exists now. If you think so, isn't it regarding the permanent and enduring one as a sentient being? From the alaya arises self-grasping, which causes the appearance of the afflicted mind to increase. As it increases, the mind increases. As it increases, the senses increase. As it increases, consciousness increases. As it increases, the conceptual thought of close attachment increases. The gathering of these together is definitely only a sentient being.

. The assembly transforms into a place, appearing in the three times. If you think there is a Buddha who possesses these, that is a great wrong view of seeing Buddha as a sentient being. Even if there is, if you think that the Buddha's lineage has wisdom and qualities, then the lineage of all sentient beings in the three realms has not gone beyond the realm of Kuntuzangpo, so you should not distinguish between Buddha and sentient beings, everything is inseparable from Buddha, alala! Or, if you think that the Buddha's Om (Tibetan, Devanagari: ॐ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, literal Chinese meaning: Om)! The land is peaceful and gentle, the dwellings are beautifully arranged, the friends are of good lineage, and there is great wealth of desirable enjoyments, then this is no more superior than the gods of the form realm. It is enough to be born in the form realm. Know that the teacher who appears to the beings to be tamed, the master who shows the path of self-liberation to oneself, and all the letters and so on, all appear suddenly, and are not inherently established self-continuum. If you say and think that all the Buddhas, sentient beings, and desirable qualities do not exist in themselves, but exist in the external environment itself, that is unreasonable, because any sentient being knows that in themselves there is nothing but themselves. If you cling to the appearing object as true, then it is delusion. For example, in a dream, when the appearing object arises, when you go back and forth, you leave the sentient beings and the appearing object in place; when you go from one place to another, hell, hungry ghosts, bardo, etc. must be determined to exist as self-continuum, if you think that leaving it in place is true, then everything is not emptiness. The grasper and the grasped, and conceptual thoughts are also not. Nor is it the realm of the Dharmakaya. The self-continuum that each possesses exists in both subject and object, and this is also truly certain. The thought of self arises and is determined, thus all non-self is measured by conventional truth, and clinging to self as ultimate truth is a reversal, oh oh! So, my teaching is not a false pretense of showing non-existence while existing, but rather it determines that all appearances are non-self, non-object, and illusory appearances, thus showing the single basis, know that! If each sentient being has its own self-continuum, then the Buddha also has its own self-continuum, therefore it cannot be determined as one basis, but must fall into multiplicity. If you think that sentient beings exist in themselves, but think that it is one basis, then even if one sentient being becomes a Buddha, other sentient beings will not become Buddhas, therefore that basis is also
