This is called the division of suchness. Then, the division of suchness within the three doors is as follows: With one's own body in its ordinary state, at the crown of the head, the seed syllable of the deity (Tibetan: ས་བོན་ཨ་, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A), white, existing in the form of a light point without luster, contemplate that the cause of being born as a deity, together with afflictions and habitual tendencies, all dissolve into white light without luster and merge into the seed syllable; at the throat, the seed syllable of the Asura (Tibetan: ས་བོན་སུ་, Devanagari: सु, Romanized Sanskrit: su, Literal meaning: Su), yellow, in the form of a light point, clear as above, contemplate that the cause of being born as an Asura, together with all afflictions and habitual tendencies, all dissolve into yellow-green light and merge into Su; at the heart, the seed syllable of humans (Tibetan: ས་བོན་ནྲྀ་, Devanagari: नृ, Romanized Sanskrit: nṛ, Literal meaning: Nri), bluish-green, from which light radiates, contemplate that the cause of being born as a human, together with afflictions and habitual tendencies, all gather and merge into Nri; at the navel, the seed syllable of animals (Tibetan: ས་བོན་ཏྲི་, Devanagari: त्र, Romanized Sanskrit: tra, Literal meaning: Tra), reddish-black, also as above, contemplate that the cause of being born as an animal, together with afflictions and habitual tendencies, (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Devanagari: ॐ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, Literal meaning: Om), all gather and merge into Tra; at the secret place, the seed syllable of the hungry ghosts (Tibetan: ས་བོན་པྲེ་, Devanagari: प्रे, Romanized Sanskrit: pre, Literal meaning: Pre), ashen-gray, from which light radiates, contemplate that the cause of being born as a hungry ghost, together with afflictions, habitual tendencies, and suffering, all gather and merge into Pre; at the soles of the feet, the seed syllable of hell beings (Tibetan: ཡི་གེ་དུ་, Devanagari: दु, Romanized Sanskrit: du, Literal meaning: Du), black, with light, from which light radiates, contemplate that the cause of being born in hell, which exists in the continuum of all sentient beings, together with afflictions, sins, obscurations, habitual tendencies, and suffering, all without any remainder, not even a trace left, all dissolve into black light and merge into the seed syllable, this is what is to be purified. Again, at the crown of one's head, the essence of the body of all the Tathagatas, (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Devanagari: ॐ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, Literal meaning: Om), white, blazing more than the light of a hundred thousand suns, from which light radiates, the bodies of the Buddhas of the three times, together with their retinue, the inexhaustible wheel of ornaments, all gather into a white mass of light and merge into Om; at the throat, the seed syllable of speech (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Devanagari: आ, Romanized Sanskrit: āḥ, Literal meaning: Ah), red, from which light radiates as above, all the speech of the Buddhas of the three times, together with their retinue, the inexhaustible wheel of ornaments, all gather into a red mass of light, and merge into Ah; at the heart, the seed syllable of mind (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hum), dark blue-black, blazing with light and rays, from which light radiates, the mind, qualities, and activities of the Buddhas of the three times, together with their retinue, the inexhaustible wheel of ornaments, all gather into a dark blue-black mass of light, and merge into Hum.

Visualize dissolving into Hūṃ. Then, from the three vajra essences that purify, white, red, and blue rays of light blaze forth in the form of flames, completely burning away all the seeds of hell along with their habitual tendencies. Recite Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ. Similarly, burn samsara in reverse order, and then burn it in forward order. Do not let your awareness stray elsewhere, do not interrupt with idle chatter, and practice meditation and recitation without letting the warmth of the cushion fade away. Know that this is the key. Finally, as the light spreads greatly, illnesses, evil spirits, sins, obscurations, habitual tendencies, and the physical body of flesh and blood are burned away by the fire, and your own body becomes clear as a rainbow or an image in a clear mirror, a mass of light. Recite this again and again. For each seed to be purified, recite the three-syllable vajra mantra one hundred thousand times, along with the supplementary mantra, for a total of seven hundred thousand times. Oṃ. In this way, meditate without letting your awareness stray elsewhere, and recite single-pointedly without interruption by idle chatter. In appearances, experiences, and dreams, the sky will be clear and cloudless, and special experiences and realizations will arise in your being. It is like reaching the peak where the summit of Mount Meru touches the sky, flying in the sky, pus, blood, and serum dripping from the body, many insects emerging from the body, dwellings being burned by fire at will, and pure lands appearing and seeing the faces of deities. These are signs that all illnesses, evil spirits, sins, and obscurations have been purified. Therefore, the so-called "Ru Shan Differentiation" refers to the manifestation of the spontaneously accomplished three kayas of one's own base, which are defiled and mixed with the impurities of the habitual tendencies of the three realms. By purifying samsara into the dharmadhatu and manifesting the three kayas, this is Ru Shan Differentiation. Burning the seed that produces the body, thereby manifesting the body vajra, this is the Ru Shan of the body. Reciting mantras with the mouth, thereby manifesting the speech vajra, this is the Ru Shan of speech. Cutting off the continuum of mental delusion and conceptual thought, and practicing the generation and completion stages, this is called the Ru Shan of mind. For example, just as one separates the essence from the dregs, discards the dregs, and keeps the essence for oneself, this is the method of separating the essence from the dregs. By performing the inner Ru Shan separation in this way, one can temporarily clear away habitual tendencies and obscurations, and there will be no obstacles or interruptions to life and Dharma. Ultimately, one will attain Buddhahood in the play of the three vajras of body, speech, and mind.
