Increasingly used, one's own torn clothes and food, Even when seeing others use and eat the leftovers, not feeling stingy, even if others give food and wealth like Mount Meru, those who are still not satisfied are evil places that everyone despises and abandons, so they will definitely not accomplish virtuous deeds. Some people have thoughts of Dharma in their minds, and no matter how much free time they have, they are immersed in verbal and manual virtues, Those who like to imitate others and are immersed in that behavior, no matter how much they do in worldly virtues, they feel it is not enough, and those who give up when they encounter slight difficulties and hunger are those who have cut off the opportunity for ultimate Dharma. Great joy and sorrow are like the sun shining through the clouds, and great haste is like a winter storm. No matter who you associate with, the time you spend with them is short, You will be abandoned by everyone, so such people will definitely give up practicing because they cannot bear it. Those who want to practice pure Dharma should not approach strict officials or flatter them, because once they lose their freedom, there will be a time when the path to liberation is blocked. There is danger! Do not ask for Dharma from a guru who is full of joy and sorrow, because that is a spiritual friend who will throw you into hell! Do not associate with a guru who has many needs, because there is a danger of losing precious vows and life! Do not associate with a guru who is good at exploiting others and does not care about the suffering and happiness of others, because you will break your vows and fall into hell! Do not associate with a guru who has many activities, because you will be thrown into hell because you cannot provide service! Do not associate with a guru who does not care about the suffering and happiness of his disciples, but only thinks about his own desires and interests, likes high positions and hates the weak, because you will develop wrong views and fall into hell! Do not associate with a guru who has wrong views, short meditation time, devotes his life to the eight worldly dharmas, and has no wisdom of hearing and thinking, because you will become inferior in views and cannot improve! First, observe the guru for a long time, through the evaluation of others and your own observation, and if you find that he has no shortcomings and is full of virtues, then rely on him, so that he can point out the path to liberation and no faults or falls will occur! After relying on him,

The Lama said: Even if (the Guru) kills a hundred people and a hundred horses in a day, one should not develop wrong views. Even if he commands to kill living beings, rob, and enjoy wives, one should carry it out without hesitation, otherwise one will fall into the Avici Hell. Therefore, one must carry out his commands, as the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas have said many times. Therefore, relying on the supreme Guru, do not let the pith instructions leak, and strive for the essential practice in one lifetime. This is of utmost importance, know this! If the disciple is not examined, there is a danger of becoming the Guru's obstacle. The pith instructions are like water poured on water, like giving one's own food and wealth to the enemy. Being weary and disgusted with the affairs of this life, having unwavering faith in the Three Jewels, having great compassion, having little attachment, being fond of generosity, being broad-minded, being without hypocrisy, having perseverance and patience, having a stable mind, being single-minded, and being without change, when these qualities are all present, one can be considered the best disciple. If the pith instructions are taught, great meaning will surely be accomplished. Having great attachment to samsara, having little faith and respect, having great hypocrisy and deceit, having no compassion, having great attachment, being jealous, being quick to anger, being fickle, being quick to change one's mind, being crude in knowledge, having no perseverance and patience, being distracted and lazy, being fond of crowds, being fond of being high up, being self-righteous, being dissatisfied with others, being frivolous, being fond of gossiping, being fond of lying and joking, if the pith instructions are taught to such people, they will surely become the Guru's obstacle in the end. Therefore, examine and investigate carefully, abandon disciples who are not suitable vessels, and associate with those who are qualified. Now, in practicing the Great Perfection Tögal of Clear Light, first, if the profound preliminary practice is not practiced, then many obstacles and errors will occur in practicing the main practice. Therefore, in the order of the preliminary practices, one must strive to distinguish the three doors of samsara and nirvana. First, in distinguishing samsara and nirvana in the external aspect, go to a secluded and uninhabited mountain valley, so that I can liberate all sentient beings of the three realms from the ocean of suffering in samsara.
