E-va-sa-ma-ya-hri Tha. Dza dzaḥ dzom. The visualization for preventing hail: In front, visualize a palace made of padmaraga (ruby), inside which is the great deity Mahadeva, large in body and with coarse limbs. In the expanse of his body, which is like an ocean, all the fields and crops to be protected are like stars shining in the ocean, completely filled. Visualize that from his body, a mass of light blazes like the fire at the end of an eon, warming the ocean from its depths, and the boiling steam rises into the space, causing the sky to be covered with clouds. Visualize that all the fields and crops are pervaded by the heat of the fire, and that all the essence of grains in the realms of existence and non-existence are gathered. By reciting this, it is certain that hail will be prevented and rain will fall. When there are no clouds in the sky, recite this mantra like the flow of a river. Homage! The truth of the Three Jewels and the Three Roots, Dharma Protectors and Guardians, and the truth of the essence of ultimate reality, which is pure from the beginning, and the power and blessing of the truth of conventional cause and effect, which is unfailing, may all the fields and crops in the sunny and shady places, foothills and mountaintops of this land be completely covered and pervaded by the great fire and heat of Mahadeva. May the great fire and heat rapidly spread and increase in this instant, moment, and short time. May the ocean be warmed from its depths, and the earth be covered with a great fog. May the harm of cold winds, hail, and frost be unable to stand. After reciting three times: The truth of the Three Jewels, and from the Buddhas, etc., may it be accomplished in this way. In between, recite the accomplishment mantra of the Blessed One, the Thus-Gone One, etc., seven times. The "etc." of the Three Jewels, recite seven times. The "etc." of attaining the Three Kayas of the Buddha, recite seven times. The Three Kayas of the Buddha, equal in the nature of reality, mantra and mudra, aspiration, etc., recite seven times. The wondrous sons, etc., recite seven times, the supreme lama's "etc." recite seven times. The "etc." of those who dwell in the ten directions.
