Nature! Point the root of grasping to it! For the self-nature of mind's delusion! Showing joy and sorrow and taking them close! It is also emptiness and selflessness! Bliss and suffering are without place, without a maker! Self-made, self-empty is samsara itself! Not made by another, not anything else! In the emptiness and selflessness of appearance and existence! Grasping self and other as different is mind! For example, in last night's dream! Self, other, samsara, everything appears! When awakened, it vanishes into the expanse! This mind shows its own delusion to itself! Like a magician and an illusion! Non-dual is mind and mental events! Outward appearances are all false! If you are sure it exists, it is permanent! Where are death, transference, and change! Sickness, comfort, suffering are just appearances of experience! Holding onto ghosts is the same! The root of samsara and nirvana is one's own mind! Realizing all the deluded dharmas! Decide that your own mind is delusion! Good and bad signs and various! Comfort, suffering, joy, attachment and clinging! Hope and fear, all cut off in one's own nature! The pith instruction for cutting is only this! This will become the supreme of hearing! The root of Dharma is in one's own mind! Deciding and cutting clinging is the supreme of meditation! Realize that samsara and nirvana are the play of awareness! Hope and fear! (Tibetan), none, none, none! Cutting in one's own place is! The king of meditation, naturally arising great! Let it appear, without adornment, relax and abide! This is the key to meditation! The cutter, the object of cutting, and the person who cuts, the three! In no place, cut in the vast emptiness! Without adornment, the nature of Dharma is naturally liberated! Determining realization is the measure of cutting! Understanding is not enough, practice is the key! Above this is the reality of cutting, below this is recognizing its causes. Note: Understanding remaining in the place of understanding is! Like a king's treasure seen by others! Pride in grasping at self! It is like having no benefit from it! The object of cutting is oneself, the cutter is also oneself! From this arises the path of dualistic inversion! Even if eloquent and skillful in words! Not understanding the meaning, but clinging to it as supreme! In this way, there is no time to produce results! First, cut the vital point internally! Finally, cut externally! Like this, not possessing the key points! The measure of the internal vital point is not complete! In the external, running empty without thought! Saying the vital point is complete, showing off to others! Eking out a living as someone who drives away ghosts in village rituals! Practicing Dharma but being taken over by demons! In the age of five hundred, there are many like this! The lineage of knowledge is lower now than before! The five poisons of affliction burn like fire! Those who cut self-seeing arrogance! Are more inferior than ordinary people! Others

Wandering in silent villages, beating ghosts, suspicion heavier than wild animals; for the practitioner with dualistic views, there is no connection to the profound practice of Chöd; unable to obtain the true meaning of the instructions; the obstacle of perceiving self-appearance as dualistic, not knowing where it comes from, nor where it resides. By recognizing the illusion of one's own mind, the foundation of obstacles is destroyed; the evil realm grasped as a ghost, if not destroyed in its own nature, how can it be severed? If this (evil realm) is not liberated in its own nature, then the demonic obstacle of conceptual thought, whatever it deceives, will cut off the lifeline of liberation; transforming adverse conditions into the path is slightly easier, and severing is also easy; transforming favorable conditions into the path is extremely difficult, and one falls into attachment; no matter what unwanted adverse conditions arise, they are approached and cause suffering due to the conceptual thoughts of one's own mind's illusion; in the realm of original emptiness, emptiness, selflessness, there is no suffering or sufferer, with the wisdom of awareness, destroy in the realm of objectless emptiness; if the suffering of not understanding this is controlled by the strong grasping of truth, then, ཕྲྃ།༔ (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese meaning) Again, sever one's own mind in its own nature; praise, encouragement, fame for favorable conditions, as well as the great benefits and arrogance of this life, as well as food, wealth, all desired abundance, as well as happiness, joy, the gathering of enjoyment, as well as a mind that is intelligent and possesses qualities, brave, fierce, the combination of three conditions, etc., hoping for this, being arrogant, pursuing purpose, being deceived by the demon of the son of the gods; considering the attainment of food and wealth as accomplishment, clinging to this, falling into the demonic path due to the control of favorable conditions, this practice is extremely difficult; for any favorable conditions that arise, sever all attachments by knowing them to be like illusions and dreams; originally, the root of all dharmas lies in one's own mind, not caring about external achievements and where they come from, the appearance of the image of conceptual thought, like magic, dreams, and optical illusions, do not entrust your mind to meaningless dharmas; destroy everything in the realm of the Great Mother's intention; sever all hope, attachment, and clinging; like a person with vomiting sickness seeing food, if you abandon all actions of this life, then you will understand the complete meaning of the Mother of Chöd; if you do not understand this, most will be deceived by conditions. Such understanding is a supreme yogi; taking the severance of all conditions as the key; mind itself is originally the Dharmakaya, there is not even the name of suffering; mind itself manifests as the space of awareness, the great wisdom of awareness is, without cessation.
