I prostrate, offer, and take refuge in the one who dispels obscurations. Wam! I prostrate, offer, and take refuge in the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, the noble Akashagarbha. I prostrate, offer, and take refuge in the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, the noble Maitreya. I prostrate, offer, and take refuge in the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, the noble Samantabhadra. I prostrate, offer, and take refuge in the path of liberation and omniscience, the true and sacred Dharma. I prostrate, offer, and take refuge in the assembly of noble Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and Arhats. I prostrate, offer, and take refuge in those who dwell after the Tathagatas and uphold the teachings. I establish you, the mandala of the Victorious Ones, as my witness. From beginningless samsara until this present moment, I have been under the influence of the habitual tendencies of the two obscurations. I confess and repent for all the accumulated karma, afflictions, sins, obscurations, and non-virtuous deeds. I will not conceal them. I will not hide them. I am ashamed. I regret them. From now on, even if my life is at stake, I will keep my vows. Please guide me from the pure lands to the western Sukhavati (Pure Land) in this life. Saying this seven times, prostrating, and confessing with the four powers is known to be the supreme essence. Offering Clouds of Retinue Jewel Mandala: Hūṃ hrīḥ In the infinite realms of the three thousandfold world, With auspicious substances, symbols, and the seven royal emblems, And the seven precious jewels, and all the glories of desired things, Taking them with the mind, in the realm of Great Bliss, I offer to the Buddhas and their sons who dwell there. May we complete the accumulations and purify the obscurations, And swiftly attain Buddhahood! Oṃ namo amitābhah hrīḥ sarva sapariwāra maṅgala maṇi ratna pratīccha soha āh hūṃ Then, to offer praise: Emaho! From the realm of dharmatā, free from extremes of elaboration, The spontaneously arisen wisdom, the body of the primordially enlightened one, The supreme source of all the victorious ones of the three times, I prostrate and praise the Bhagavan Boundless Light. From the spontaneously accomplished palace of Great Bliss, The immeasurable Bhagavan, with body and wisdom, The vajra body, free from birth, death, aging, and decay, I prostrate and praise the Protector Boundless Life. In the vast expanse of impartial, all-pervading compassion, The realm adorned with immeasurable qualities of joy and bliss, Not abiding in the extremes of existence and peace, The supreme realm from which the pure, great breath arises, From which the glory of the essence of the four kāyas and five wisdoms, Just hearing the name liberates beings from existence, Just remembering it leads to the path of omniscience, The glorious lord of the ocean of body and wisdom, I prostrate and praise the Protector Boundless Light. In short, the essence of the ocean of infinite mandalas, The Buddha Boundless Light, the unified whole, The wisdom radiance, the retinue of noble Bodhisattvas, I prostrate and praise the complete mandala of deities.
