Drinking this can eliminate forgetfulness and poison. Licorice and, haritaki and, tribulus terrestris and, śu dag and, three fruits and, rhubarb etc. powders, one ounce each, and thirty-two ounces of ghee boiled in goat's milk, when half of the ghee remains, filter it out, the name is called "making the tongue comfortable". Eating this in moderation can make the memory clear and the mind harmonious, and deafness and, stuttering and, muteness etc. can also be eliminated by its power. Or licorice and, neem and, śu dag and, frankincense and, acacia and, garlic and, rue etc. ground in goat urine, the filtered juice is dripped into the nose and applied to the eyes. For those afflicted by madness, from the beginning, bind them, beat them, guard them without letting them go anywhere, threaten them with various methods, and then after threatening, persuade them with gentle words. For those afflicted by madness caused by sudden events, a pure and selfless doctor should eliminate the rituals such as offerings, torma, sacrifices, oblations, fire offerings, mantras, eye ointments, nasal drops, etc. as prescribed. Now I will explain the differences of forgetfulness. Forgetfulness is like darkness oppressing the mind, the root of the disease severely disturbing, thereby losing memory and becoming irritable, this is called forgetfulness disease. It has four types, and it should be known that this is inauspicious. Among them, the symptoms caused by wind, caused by bile, and caused by phlegm are, black and, yellow and, white etc., combined in order, and whatever is seen, they see their respective forms. Forgetfulness caused by the accumulation of all three causes has all the symptoms.

Because they are difficult to treat, for those ailments, one should first administer the five therapies according to the condition: strong purgatives, mild laxatives, emetics, purgatives, and nasal infusions. For diseases caused by wind, strong purgatives and mild laxatives should be administered. For diseases caused by bile, purgatives should be administered. For diseases caused by phlegm, emetics should be administered. Nasal infusions made from various medicines are beneficial for all ailments. For diseases caused by multiple factors, treatment should be based on the predominant factor, and appropriate therapies should be administered. After thoroughly purifying the body with these therapies, one should then eliminate mental disorders using the methods described earlier. Alternatively, the powder of medicines such as sea buckthorn and rue, mixed with the juice of the medicine brahmi and aged ghee that is many years old, boiled and then strained to remove the residue, can be drunk in moderation to eliminate forgetfulness and mental disorders, and to calm the mind. Thirty-two ounces each of ghee and sesame oil, and sixteen ounces of milk, with one ounce each of the powder of fifteen medicines called "nourishing," boiled and then strained to remove the residue, can also be drunk in moderation to eliminate forgetfulness. The powder of juniper, rue, Clerodendrum indicum, Ferula asafoetida, garlic, the three peppers, and neem, mixed with sheep urine and sesame oil, boiled and then strained to remove the residue, can also be instilled into the nose to eliminate forgetfulness. For mental disorders and forgetfulness, one should avoid unfavorable places such as water, fire, trees, and rocks. One should strive and regularly consume the essence of medicines that can clear the mind and make it peaceful. This concludes the twentieth chapter, on the treatment of mental disorders and forgetfulness. Next, the chapter on treating wind disorders will be explained. Eighty types of wind disorders arise from wind imbalances. The common characteristics of these diseases are pain, the sensation of broken limbs, tingling, limb contractions, muscle atrophy, and a feeling of intense squeezing.
