For these three types of ascites—ruptured intestinal ascites, water ascites, and obstructed anal ascites—a doctor who knows the rituals should swear to secrecy and perform observation, enema, and incision procedures. For those debilitated by ascites, the diet should consist of rice, barley, green beans, milk, and dried animal meat.
