Therefore, it is not without outflows. The so-called 'seven objects of meritorious activity arising from material possessions' are extensively explained. Here, 'material possessions' refer to objects such as monasteries and temples. Having made them sevenfold by reason, what arises from them is what arises from material possessions. For example, giving to those who come suddenly, giving to guests, giving to the sick, giving to those who care for the sick, offering to monasteries, preparing food for those who beg collectively, and giving food and drink when disasters such as heavy rain and strong winds occur. These are the seven objects of meritorious activity arising from material possessions. The term 'constant' means repeatedly. The term 'uninterrupted' means without interruption. The phrase 'those who possess what does not arise from material possessions are also similar to that' means that just as those who possess what arises from material possessions constantly and uninterruptedly increase merit, so too do those who possess what does not arise from material possessions. Furthermore, these are those who possess faith, for example, hearing that the Tathagata or the Tathagata's Shravakas reside in a certain village or near a village, and upon hearing this, obtaining joy and great joy, as it is said in the Sutra. The term 'possessing other minds' means possessing minds that are afflicted and unspecified. At that time, merit cannot increase except for non-manifestation, because for those who possess other minds, there is no adherence of bodily and verbal manifestation. Non-manifestation is adherent, because of the definition: 'Of distraction and mindlessness, whatever adheres to virtue and non-virtue.' The saying 'if there is no non-manifestation' occurs, referring to the fact that when one establishes the actual path of action itself, at the time when the action is not completed, for the instructor who engages in other actions, there is no bodily and verbal manifestation, and there is also no non-manifestation. Therefore, one must undoubtedly acknowledge non-manifestation; if it is not so, if there is no non-manifestation, then the path of action will not be accomplished.

It will also become like that. If you think again, will it become the path of karma from persuasion? Therefore, it is explained in detail that it is only persuasion. The reason is mentioned in that itself, because that karma was not done. At the time of persuasion, it is because that karma of killing, etc., was done. If karma is not done, then it is not the reason for the actual path of karma. In order to eliminate the doubt that doing karma will become the path of karma, it is said that even if it has been done, its own nature has no difference. Whether karma is done or not, it doesn't matter, because persuasion itself has no difference. If there is no difference between before and after, then how will it later become the path of karma? Not included in the eleven spheres means the remaining eleven except for the sphere of Dharma. It is not said that it is not form like the sphere of mind. What is the need, it will appear in detail. When entering into Samadhi, the limits of body and speech karma are not possible, because when entering the path, one does not speak, the body does not move, and one does not seek Dharma robes, etc. Saying it is not possible means it is impossible. It is impossible because the minds that arouse those all look outward and enter. Therefore, one must unhesitatingly admit non-manifestation, and if there is none, then the eightfold path becomes contradictory. Then, like this, it will appear in detail. This is to say, if when entering the path, like right view, etc., there is also right speech, etc., then why is it said that this speech and the limits of karma and livelihood are before? It should be said that, therefore, one should know that at that time there is no non-manifestation of right speech, etc. Therefore, when the limits of body and speech karma and livelihood included in the discipline are completely purified and completely cleansed, then one is completely led into the path. Therefore, if it is said that because the eightfold path is accomplished, there is no non-manifestation, it is because it was previously severed by the worldly path.
