The extensive commentary on the explanation of the Abhidharmakośa, called "The Reality of Meaning." Steadfast Intelligence. The extensive commentary on the explanation of the Abhidharmakośa, called "The Reality of Meaning." Steadfast Intelligence. Homage to Tara! Those who deceive sinful beings consider the various internal and external objects, such as fruits, stones, and the sharpness of thorns, to be either without cause, or with visible causes, or with invisible causes, or to be premeditated. Therefore, they inquire extensively about sentient beings and the vessel world. Because of various causes, fruits, stones, and so on are diverse. It is not without cause, because the fruits that grow from a single tree also have various causes and conditions, because the flowers and so on are different. If the various objects such as fruits and stones are without cause, then everything will become without cause. Their causes, such as semen and blood, are not only visible, because semen and blood are not different, but one can see differences in size, shape, completeness of senses, and incompleteness. When engaging in various activities equally, some obtain the fruits of their actions, while others only experience fatigue, which cannot be without invisible causes. Some are not done with premeditation, because that is prohibited. Among them, the variety of sentient beings is explained through the distinctions of realms, destinies, birthplaces, measures, lifespans, and so on. The variety of the vessel world is explained through the distinctions of immeasurable palaces, continents, mountains, wind mandalas, and so on. No one does anything with premeditation, just like the creations of a magician. If it is not without cause, or with visible causes, or not premeditated, then why is it so? It is said that various worlds arise from the actions of sentient beings. In any case, through the means of the four fruits, the arising of other things that are not the result of karma does not exist at all. Where does this come from? Actions.

There is nothing else that arises that is not a result of karma. Why is that? Because the power of karma is visible. The power of karma is clearly seen in producing desirable and undesirable fruits. For example, a farmer's efforts produce the fruit of plowing fields, and going to another's wife produces undesirable fruits, and so on. Some are seen to be happy from birth to being washed without effort, while others are seen to be miserable. Here, obtaining desirable and undesirable fruits is due to prior karma, so obtaining happiness and suffering will also be due to prior karma. Those bodies that are like wounds, and the enjoyable experiences that are their objects, arise because they have such a nature. Whose karma are these? Therefore, it is said, "those who act as guides for sentient beings," which is a synonym for those who do good and evil. Thus, both kinds of karma will have results, but not otherwise. For example, a happy body cannot enjoy an unhappy realm. Because it depends on it, there is no cause to enter, and there is no difference from it. Therefore, only such karma can produce results. Others say that it is the result of shared karma. Due to the power of the virtuous karma of all sentient beings, lotuses and উৎপལ་(梵文:utpala,梵文罗马拟音:utpala, meaning: blue lotus) and so on arise; due to the power of non-virtuous karma, poison and thorns and so on arise. The results of the karma of individually determined sentient beings are the bodies of sentient beings, and these are also produced by the mind as a guide. What they possess is not shared; lotuses and উৎপལ་(梵文:utpala,梵文罗马拟音:utpala, meaning: blue lotus) and so on are shared. Like this, the mind is not a guide everywhere, so bodies and enjoyable experiences arise. This is how all karma is briefly shown by "mind and what is done by it." By "mind," it means, this is this.

It is as if one intends to do so. The sutra says: Whatever is said to be thought, here in the treatise it is said to be intention, meaning that it is aroused by the mind. It is called three because the actions done by the mind are divided into two types. Because everything depends on the body. It means that it depends on the body and exists. In this way, since the actions that depend on the body are the actions of the body, then the actions of speech and mind will also become the actions of the body. The only thing that becomes their respective actions is to distinguish the actions of their respective natures. The two actions of body and mind, since they are not the nature of action and mind, then these two will not become actions. If it is said that it comes from arousal, then the action of mind is the same, and the actions of body and speech both are completely controlled by the mind, so they are mind itself, so they will become the only action of mind. Speaking in order with the three causes, the action of the body is, even though it is aroused by the mind, it is because it depends on the body. The action of speech comes from its own nature, because that is the nature of speech. The action of mind comes from arousal, because it is aroused by the mind and depends on it. In this way, the differences between the three will also be shown to each other. Intention is the action of the mind, which is explaining the nature of the action of the mind, not the actions of body and speech. Therefore, it is said, "They are expression and non-expression." As it is said in the sutra: What is the action of the body? It is the expression and non-expression of the body. What is the action of speech? It is the expression and non-expression of speech. The tone of ni is to determine that only those are expression and non-expression, not the action of mind. Also, why is the action of mind not considered to be the nature of expression and non-expression? Because it is not such a characteristic. If it is said that the mind that initiates itself is knowable, so is it expression? The mind does not have such a characteristic.
