Destroyer of virtues, stains enjoy happiness now. Thus it is said, the protectors of beings, the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and the sons of the Buddhas, even they, when they pass away in supreme peace, beings are without protectors. Virtues are those who possess the nature of discipline and wisdom, those who are intensely invaded by the stains of desire, hatred, and ignorance, those that arise now are dispelled, and those of the future are obstructed, therefore stains are destroyers of virtues. "Without an opponent" means because there is no adversary. "Happiness" means whatever is desired. It means that beings enjoy it here and now. Like taking life in the dark, it means that the sons of the Buddhas who are engaged in protecting the teachings of the Teacher do not exist, and because the evil logicians disturb by falsely establishing words and meanings. Thus, the teachings of the Able One are like taking life in the dark, and the stains are powerful, meaning that beings are without protectors, so there is no antidote. Know that these are the powerful afflictions, and here those who desire liberation, know that until this teaching is not destroyed in every way, you should be diligent. The extensive commentary on the explanation of the Abhidharma-kośa composed by the scholar-abbot Sthavira Mati-sthira, called "Explanation of Differentiation," the eighth chapter of the Kośa is complete. "The Reality of Meaning" is the extensive commentary on the Kośa. The extensive explanation of the commentary on the Abhidharma-kośa, called "The Reality of Meaning," was composed by the scholar Mati-sthira. In the past, in the land of snow, the commentary on the Kośa, composed by the scholar Mati-sthira, was called "Sky Iron Thunderbolt," and only this name was known among the wise, but it was never translated. The Sanskrit version of this appeared in the hands of the Dharma King, the All-Knowing Youthful Glory. The Dharma King himself composed it, but the translation was not completed. However, he cherished the precious teachings very much, and the incomparable Dharma King Rinpoche, the excellent guide of beings including gods, the fourth Shamarpa Choskyi Drakpa Yeshe Pal Sangpo's face.

Previously, with pure intention, he gave instructions, saying, "Can this be translated into Tibetan?" Although some Mongolian remained in the interim, the previous root commentary of the Abhidharmakosha and the commentary 'King's Son' and 'What is Written' have already been translated, and the meanings of these were consulted. The previous translators had some understanding of the methods of translating the Dharma and the principles of grammar, so it seemed that most of it could be translated into Tibetan." After this request, he said, "Since this is an activity of propagating the teachings, it is good to translate it in any way. Even in the translations of Wang Lotsawa, some Mongolian mantras remain, and it would be good if others could complete the translation later, so translate it." He gave instructions and bestowed favorable conditions. The translator of Zha-lu, Dharmapala Bhadra, found the original Sanskrit text of this, as well as the Sanskrit text used as a model, complete except for the lower part of the second place, the third part, and the upper part of the fourth part from Taklung, and consulted and examined the original Sanskrit text of the self-commentary and the previously slandered Tibetan texts. According to the decree of the previous scholars, it was started from Zhika Lhundrub Ling and Lhundrub Lhatse, and completed at the Ganden Mamo Monastery in the Kowo area of the east, and the scribe was the virtuous friend, the yogi Sangye Phel. Now, for the Mongolian that remains in the interim, even if it is slightly explained with annotations, it is necessary to understand the explanation of the meaning, and for the errors in translation, I pray that the scholars who are thorough in grammar and Abhidharma principles will forgive and examine them. By translating this great treatise, the supreme ornament of Jambudvipa, which elucidates the principles, with transcendent wisdom as its subject, may all beings, through the merit gained, destroy the darkness of ignorance with the light of wisdom, and attain the supreme state of omniscience, and may all the supreme holders of the teachings everywhere rejoice with the wealth of eloquent speech, with the light of the feast of the nectar of eloquent speech from the ocean of the Dharma Kosha!
