Therefore, what should be abandoned by seeing the four true phenomena is holding precepts and asceticism as supreme, which are what should be abandoned by seeing suffering. What some other upholders have said with the reasoning of hanging Kasha and Kusha, that is not said here because there is a fear of many scriptures and it is meaningless. Therefore, this reason should be examined, because by observing contaminated things, will everything become what should be abandoned by seeing suffering? Or, because there are four forms by observing those views that should be abandoned, therefore holding precepts and asceticism as supreme has only two forms, not one form, and not four forms, this reason should be examined, says the scholar's assembly of goodness. Manifestly clinging to what is not the path as the path is observing suffering. Therefore, what should be abandoned by seeing suffering is seeing suffering as permanent, etc., because that is its antidote, so seeing suffering as impermanent, etc. The antidote to the wisdom of what is not the path as the path is how it is seen as permanent, therefore manifestly clinging to what is not the path as the path should not be abandoned by seeing suffering. Non-cause is manifestly clinging to Ishvara etc. as the cause. By this, it has already been negated that what should be abandoned by seeing the origin is also this, because there is no observation of suffering and origin and cause etc. The antidote to manifestly clinging to what is not the path as the path is the path itself, it appears that the antidote to this is seeing the path itself, combined with what should be abandoned by seeing the path. If the path is also seen from the perspective of the path, it is not the path that must be grasped in dependence on suffering etc., then this is not abandoning holding what is not the path as the path. Otherwise, it must be grasped, because obtaining observation of contaminated things, therefore the antidote to this is not seeing the path itself, because it contradicts the treatises. Non-cause is said from the perspective of cause, holding precepts and asceticism as supreme is what should be abandoned by seeing suffering, this is how it appears. Here, the path itself is expressed by the word cause, happiness and suffering

It is because it is spoken in a reversed way. If asked, how is it known that clinging to 'mine' is inverted? Because 'mine' is not clinging to 'self', it is not non-self, and non-self is not clinging to 'self', nor is it 'mine'. There is such a distinction. In the sutras, it also says that in the absence of self, it is inverted to think of it as self. But it does not say that in the absence of 'mine', it is thought of as 'mine'. Therefore, the view of the aggregation of destruction is not inverted. This clinging to self is said to have two doors, although it is one in terms of substance, it becomes two doors because the usage of self and 'mine' are different. However, the word 'self' appears extensively, and the word 'self' is indicated by the first case. If the sixth case indicates 'mine', and different cases lead to different views, then 'by me' and 'for me' will also become other views because of the different cases. For example, 'mine' is the third case, and 'for mine' is the fourth case. The teacher Good Gathering says: For this one desire alone, there must be twelve views, so there are two inverted views, namely, the view of the aggregation of destruction and the view of holding views as supreme are inverted. Falling into the extreme of permanence is clinging to the view of extremes. Upapadyate, that is to say. The views of permanence and annihilation are mutually contradictory. The discriminations that arise from outside of views are the views of self and 'mine'. The Vaibhashikas say: For those who think that only I am independent, they think, 'This is mine.' If the introduction of all afflictions is the same, why are other afflictions not inverted? Like this, having three causes appears extensively. These three causes are not successively possessed by other afflictions, therefore, those are established as inverted. Wrong view and annihilation view are definitely the same inversion as the view of reality, but they are not additive, because things have already tended to destruction. The view of holding vows and asceticism as supreme is additive and definitely real.
