The activity flourishes extensively. Having seen the two meanings, one gives alms, that is, for the sake of accumulating virtuous deeds for oneself, and for the sake of benefiting the great power of the recipient. There are also two kinds of givers: those with afflictions and those without afflictions. Those with afflictions are also of two kinds: those who are free from attachment to desire and those who are not free from attachment. Those who are free from attachment are also of two kinds: noble ones and ordinary beings. Those who are not free from attachment are also of two kinds, just like that. Among them, the noble one who is not free from attachment, or the ordinary being who is free from attachment, who gives alms to a stupa, that is for the sake of his own benefit alone. Therefore, he will accumulate two kinds of roots of virtue, that is, he will become a gathering with great fruition and the attainment of supreme meaning. When a noble one, free from attachment, gives to other sentient beings, it is said that because he has transcended the ground of its maturation. For a noble one who is free from attachment, there is no great fruition, but for the recipient, great power increases through it, so it is for others, and there is no benefit for oneself. If someone without afflictions gives to other sentient beings, there are also two kinds: because there is no accumulation of roots of virtue, there is no benefit for oneself, it is only for the benefit of others. Creatures with afflictions are for the benefit of both. Those without afflictions prostrating to stupas are not for the benefit of both. Here, the two kinds of accumulating and not accumulating roots of virtue are explained. If one thinks that the fruit itself is a great enjoyment and that the object of meritorious action is giving, then the way of engaging in it is extensively explained. What is called being free from attachment or an ordinary being free from attachment flourishes extensively. What is called "because he has completely transcended the ground of its maturation" means that the desire realm is the ground of maturation of giving, and a noble one free from attachment has completely transcended that ground of maturation, while

Regarding the so-called "Separate Being Free from Desire," a separate being is not entirely beyond the place of its maturation, as it is still possible to come to the desire realm. Therefore, it is called "Separate Being." Regarding the so-called "Except for Experiencing the Dharma in This Life," this is because even the noble ones renounce desire for their own benefit. Regarding the so-called "Possessing Qualities such as Hearing," the word "etc." includes wisdom and great or small desires, etc. Some givers give without being certain about the relationship between cause and effect, some give out of doubt and selfishness, some become virtuous and give, some give while breaking vows, some give after hearing many words of the Tathagata, and some give while hearing very little, and so on. Therefore, the giver differs in faith, discipline, and hearing, etc., and the resulting fruits will also be different. Such a giver, giving with respect, etc., means that even differences in action will lead to differences in results. Regarding the so-called "Becoming Four Kinds of Differences," giving with respect will gain respect. Giving with one's own hands will gain faith in vast enjoyment. Giving at the right time will enable one to obtain the enjoyment that can be enjoyed in time, without missing the opportunity. Giving without harming others will gain enjoyment that is not hindered by kings, thieves, enemies, fire, and water. How does one become a superior giver? This will be explained in detail later. Here, the initial givers, etc., are more superior than those without faith, and similarly, giving with respect, etc., also makes the giver more superior than those without respect. The so-called "Touching at the Right Time Becomes a Body of Bliss" means feeling warm when it is cold, feeling cold when it is warm, and staying normal at normal times. Walking makes the field superior.

Because it is not because of merit, but because it is said to be for those who have broken their vows. What else could make the fruition increase a thousandfold? The same should be said to others. For example, 'born of matter' etc. will be explained in detail. Here, the recipient is overwhelmed by suffering, and the fruit of the donor will be particularly excellent. The words 'such as' etc. include giving to those who have entered the stream, the fruition of which is immeasurable, and so on. Similarly, giving to those who have entered the stream, the fruition of which is extremely immeasurable, and even giving to Arhats, the fruition of which is extremely immeasurable, then what need is there to mention offering to the Self-Buddha and the Tathagata Arhat Perfectly Complete Buddha? Immeasurable is more immeasurable than immeasurable, like the water of the Ganges and the ocean. Furthermore, how does this fruition become a hundredfold, a thousandfold, or immeasurable? Because the life etc. of the recipients such as beggars increases, the life etc. of the donors will be realized a hundredfold, a thousandfold, or immeasurably among gods and humans. As the Bhagavan said, when a donor gives food to recipients, it is equal to giving five things, and broadly speaking, giving life will obtain the life of gods and humans. For example, 'parents' etc. will be explained in detail, because seeing the fruition of harming benefactors, one should infer the fruition of helping benefactors. The Jataka tales of bears and deer etc. can be taken as examples. In the world, the Buddha said that among all material giving, Dharma giving is the most excellent. Similarly, among all material giving, this material giving is also the most excellent, that is, obtaining liberation from liberation. This is because both the donor and the recipient are the most excellent, and are not possessed by greed. In the words 'Bodhisattva' etc., there is the following content.
