Because of returning and having unwavering faith. The statement "those who have attained patience are not" refers to those who have attained great patience, because they are close to the path of seeing and clearly inclined towards certainty. The statement "because it becomes an obstacle to entering the path" means that the sangha becomes an obstacle to entering the path, because by entering other non-noble paths, it becomes an obstacle to entering the noble path, therefore it will become an obstacle, that is the summary. Devadatta showed the five bases of the path in order to surely arise: not consuming milk, abandoning meat, not enjoying salt, wearing unsewn clothes, and dwelling in monasteries within villages. The statement "there is no other continent" refers to the certainty of the appearance of the Buddha. Where the teacher dwells, the teacher's rival will not dwell elsewhere. The statement "without eating demons, the sangha will dwell in two directions" means that here the four assemblies are manifestly considered to be the sangha. The eight and the remainder are also, because there is no agent. The statement "first" means that at that time, joy and great joy arise from the appearance of a dharma that did not exist before, because everything is a virtuous thought, therefore it is of one blood. In the end, they also think that they will be separated from the teacher, therefore they are of one blood because of sadness. Also, because at that time the doctrine will not increase and prosper. The statement "one blood" means one mind and no disagreement, meaning that when the sangha of monks is in harmony, the Buddhas will completely pass into nirvana. Others say that because of the certainty of the dharma nature, the retinue will be sad and so on, therefore it is not the end. The statement "in the middle, before faults have arisen" means that by observing the changes in views and ethics, there will be an opportunity for the words of the differentiator. Among them, the fault of view is like saying, "As I understand the meaning of what the Blessed One has said, those dharmas that the Blessed One has taught as obstacles will not become obstacles if relied upon," and like saying, "Likewise, the mind itself will continuously wander," and so on.

The reason for saying "depending on karma" is that only the karma that distinguishes the students will distinguish them, and not otherwise. When the Bhagavan Shakyamuni became a Bodhisattva, a sage with five clairvoyances separated the retinue. Therefore, it is said here that Devadatta separated the Sangha. Then, how can those parents who kill the fetus in the womb, and those who abandon their newborn on the great road infested with dogs and foxes, be of any benefit? Therefore, it is said, "Because the body is born from them." They do so because of the fear of not having a livelihood, etc., and not out of love. Even so, for those objects that are completely abandoned out of love and compassion, recognition arises again and again. Because eliminating them will be touched by a minor anantarika-karma. In order to clearly recognize the benefactor and the field of merit, the field itself is of such a nature. If harm is done to them, it will also become an obstacle to livelihood, and thus be touched by an anantarika-karma. In the Staglung Tibetan version, 《Bhagavanna》 says, 《Bhagavan hi dharmeṣu tāyī tī varṇya》. It is praised that the Bhagavan is the guide to all dharmas. 《Hi dharmeṣu nāyī ti varṇayanti》. The so-called "same body" is because the support is the same, so other births are mentioned. This is because it is a commentary. Because of thinking about the atoms and forms, some think that this is included in the anantarika-karma, and some think that it is included in the act of killing. If asked, how is this teaching of expressing realization correct? In the city called "Sounding Voice", King Crown Prince killed his own father Arhat, so the Buddha ordered, "Go and tell Crown Prince." The so-called "from two doors" means that he was rebuked from both the door of being a father and the door of being an Arhat. The so-called "thinking of hitting the Buddha" means that thinking of hitting is also an evil thought, but because there is no completely abandoned mind, it cannot constitute an anantarika-karma.
