It is called "reversal" because it is said, "May you be happy, may you not suffer." It is called "rejoicing" because from the cause of non-reversal intention, arises the rejoicing of 'why is it happy,' and knowing it as such, and not otherwise, therefore there is no fault of reversal. It is said that "the root of virtue itself is the cause of the antidote to resentment, etc.," because thinking 'may all sentient beings be happy' in this way, resentment will not arise at other times. Similarly, it should also be declared to others. If, because of this, no one will be happy, then is the effort to do this meaningless? It is not meaningless, because through it, the faults of resentment, etc., can be suppressed. The so-called "object of that" is the object of the desired mind. Others say: In which realm there are enemies, friends, and neutrals, in the mind there are resentment, attachment, and discord, and to whom there are benefits, harms, and abandonment, those are the objects of resentment, etc., therefore the immeasurable are not the objects of form and formlessness. Because great compassion is the nature of wisdom, it is the object of the three realms. It is said in the sutra, "Abiding in the vessel of the vessel is firm," which means that it shows the place of the place. It means that sentient beings who are the same as the vessel and become one, can cause rejoicing to arise in those who live there. Joy exists in the second dhyana. It means that according to what arises from verbal meditation, and joy is the nature of mental pleasure, then there is joy in the first and second dhyanas, but not in the higher dhyanas, because there is no mental pleasure. According to what arises from intention, and these are other extremely joyful dharmas, then everything exists, because it is associated with the two extremely joyful feelings. Others say that the extreme joy that is practiced together with joy is joy. According to them, it is the third dhyana. Others say in the six places, because for the sake of equanimity, it is not in the desire realm, and because it must be focused on the gross, etc.

It does not exist in the stable upādāna. Some say that the so-called "five" is external to the actual ground of dhyāna. Because it mentions samāhita and asamāhita, as well as the actual ground and application. Among them, some, such as loving-kindness, are grounds of samāhita, and some are grounds of asamāhita. Some exist at the time of the actual ground, and some exist at the time of application, that is, they exist at the time of upādāna. This is the so-called term. Among them, the grounds of samāhita are the ninth ground, because it includes the actual ground and application. The grounds of asamāhita belong to the desire realm. Why? Because they arise from thought, they arise from application. The actual ground and upādāna of dhyāna are included in the actual ground of dhyāna. Others say that the immeasurables (apramāṇa) are the desire realm and the first dhyāna, but not all other dhyānas. Because the immeasurables are shown to be close to the abode of Brahmā, and it is said that cultivating nothingness generates the world of Brahmā. The so-called "because it is the actual ground of dhyāna" means that if afflictions are abandoned by the path of abandonment, then those who have not separated from desire are the actual grounds of dhyāna, and even by the path of abandonment, they have not separated from desire, so they do not abandon afflictions. Others say, Rāgalāṭe, these actual grounds of dhyāna themselves, cannot be called the three grounds and the six grounds. Those who say that they exist in the fifth ground except for those who are incapable, according to their view, it will become like that, that is, the so-called "faith-based mental engagement." If afflictions are abandoned through faith-based mental engagement, then loving-kindness and the like are faith-based mental engagement, so they do not abandon afflictions. The path of abandonment is also not focused on the way beings appear, but what is it? It is focused on the three times of the lower ground's dharma. It has aspects such as coarseness and aspects such as suffering. Therefore, because of these reasons, it is not their abandonment. If they do not abandon afflictions,
