Yes. The reason why it is said that it is not definitely separated from everything is that the existence of the form realm is not definitely separated from everything. The existence of the form realm is not definitely separated from the existence of the formless realm, just as the existence of the form realm is like the existence of the desire realm. Similarly, the existence of the formless realm is not definitely separated from the existence of the desire realm and the existence of the formless realm, just as the existence of the form realm is. The existence of the form realm is not definitely separated from the existence of the desire realm, and the existence of the formless realm is not definitely separated from the existence of the form realm, because worldly beings who are free from desire will regress to the lower realms again. In the detailed explanation of "meditations, etc.," the word "form" is not mentioned for the formless realms. Apart from the absence of form, it can be proven by other reasons. Therefore, in the formless realm, one abides in the formless. Now, the detailed explanation of "how" is: If there is no form in the formless realms, then when they die and transfer to the lower realms, the form of those whose form streams have been cut off will not be reborn. It would also follow that this would occur for arhats whose aggregates of samsara have been cut off. Form arises from the mind. Because even for the formless, the causes of form still operate here, such as the consciousness of the eye, etc., and the causes of name and form, the causes of form, and the operation of desire and hatred, etc., for form, so that the differences of form can be seen to arise. For those who are born from the formless realms to the form realms, the stream of mind that is in accordance with form itself remains, and that itself is the sign of their death. Therefore, due to the causes of the stream of mind that previously operated together with form, form arises from its own seed that previously ceased. For those who are born from the formless realms to the form realms, the stream of mind that is in accordance with form itself remains, and that itself is said to be the sign of their death. Therefore, due to the ripening result of the causes of the stream of mind that previously operated together with form, form arises from the karma that previously ceased. The past and present of the equal cause are acknowledged.

It is because of the earth element. There is no fault of rebirth for an Arhat whose continuum is uninterrupted, because there are no causes for the arising of aggregates. For the moment, this is the view of the Vaibhashikas. "From obtaining the entry of mind that is completely imbued with its maturation cause," which means that "that" refers to whatever birth occurs from the transference of death from the formless realms. The maturation cause is the mind that draws it. "Imbued by it" means that for the sake of producing that form, power is established on it. "Its entry" means obtaining it in the continuum, so it is from obtaining the mind, not from the form born from the form that is obtained by the entry of mind that is completely imbued with its maturation cause. Since this Arhat does not have the cause, the seed, for obtaining the entry of the habit of maturation in this way, there is no fault of a continuum of rebirth for him. How it abides has already been explained, that is, there, for category and life force, the continuum of mind is the support. And "whose continuum is free from desire for form," and so on, has already been explained. This is the view of others. Because of practicing in that way, that is, because the practice of thinking that space is infinite is accomplished, it is the sphere of infinite space. Others say that any dharma that exists together with form, because it does not obstruct form, one makes the intention of necessarily arising from form, thinking that space does not act together with form, so by completely separating, one is able to focus with difficulty on the intention of necessarily arising from internal and external forms, so they say that with that (intention) as the earth element of the first formless realm, it is subsequently called space. Others say that in order to be liberated from form, for the practitioner of yoga, the perception of space is correctly present in the aggregates of its earth element. The practice of thinking that consciousness is infinite is complete, so it is the sphere of infinite consciousness. Taking the sign from the completely pure six aggregates of consciousness, one makes the intention that it is consciousness, performing nearby investigation, believing, and correctly knowing, and since practice is completed from the mind going first, one thinks that one should enter into the sphere of infinite consciousness.
