Therefore, they say that is not seeing. In the four dhyanas, there is a difference in wisdom. Whatever becomes the fruit of one's own ground is the fruit of one's own ground, which is the basis of the eye and ear. Therefore, the wisdom that is in accordance with consciousness is not direct perception. The so-called "chief" is chief because the miraculous powers and so on are virtuous, and the dependence that exists on it is chief. The so-called "majority" is that which is made by absence is the majority, the four virtues are the majority, and the unstated are two. To realize knowledge is to realize the recollection of past lives, to realize death and birth, and to realize the exhaustion of defilements, each should be applied individually. The so-called "others are not" refers to the divine ear and eye, and the direct perception of knowing the minds of others. The so-called "in order" is that the recollection of past lives eliminates ignorance of the past extreme. Knowing death and birth eliminates ignorance of the intermediate extreme. Knowing the exhaustion of defilements eliminates ignorance of the future extreme, that is, not understanding other existences besides this. The teacher Subdued says that the direct perception of knowing death and birth eliminates ignorance of the future extreme. The direct perception of knowing the exhaustion of defilements eliminates ignorance of the intermediate extreme. Again, it is said that only the three direct perceptions are the three types. How is this understood? It is said that the knowledge of the non-learning recollection of past lives, the knowledge of the non-learning knowledge of death and birth, and the knowledge of the non-learning knowledge of the exhaustion of defilements. Only the realization of the exhaustion of defilements is the non-learning knowledge, which is both by nature and by lineage. Others are only from the aspect of lineage, not from the aspect of nature, therefore those two are neither learning nor non-learning, because it is said to be associated with defilements. Direct

These "knowledges" refer to the supernormal knowledges that are to be manifested in order to manifestly know past lives, death, and rebirth. "Learning" refers to the state of a non-returner. Furthermore, the statement "because of being overwhelmed by ignorance" means that what arises is to be abandoned through meditation, because of being overwhelmed by ignorance. The term "in order" means that the supernormal knowledge through magical power is a magical display of miracles. Knowing the variety of minds is a miraculous display of conventional speech. The supernormal knowledge of the exhaustion of defilements is a miraculous display of subsequent teaching. The sounds of "pra (藏文,梵文天城体:प्र,梵文罗马拟音:pra,汉语字面意思:最初)" and "ati (藏文,梵文天城体:अति,梵文罗马拟音:ati,汉语字面意思:极)" are pure, because they signify action and extreme. The sound of "pra (藏文,梵文天城体:प्र,梵文罗马拟音:pra,汉语字面意思:最初)" signifies the initial action, like saying, "With this and that, one initiates the first action." The sound of "ati (藏文,梵文天城体:अति,梵文罗马拟音:ati,汉语字面意思:极)" signifies the extreme, like saying, "extremely realized." From the beginning to the extreme, the meaning of the sound "pra (藏文,梵文天城体:प्र,梵文罗马拟音:pra,汉语字面意思:最初)" is from the beginning. The meaning of the sound "ati (藏文,梵文天城体:अति,梵文罗马拟音:ati,汉语字面意思:极)" is the meaning of extreme. It is said that "those who dwell in playfulness and in between captivate the mind" because the term "miracle" is applied in the manner of a definitive word. The statement "because it is not deceptive" means that magical powers and common speech are also possible for outsiders, but "exhaustion of defilements" is not, because it is not deceptive and is uncommon. Magical powers can also be achieved through medicine and secret mantras. With the knowledge-mantra called "gana hari (藏文)," there are those who can travel in the sky. It is said that with a special medicine applied to the hands and feet, there are also those who can travel in the sky. The declaration of others' minds is also done through signs and secret mantras, and so forth. To teach truthfully as it is cannot be done in any other way, so it is the very nature of being non-deceptive. To teach truthfully as it is and to instruct truthfully as it is are the samadhi of magical power, and its result is a miracle. In the sutras, it is said that magical power is spoken of because it enters into the gross and subtle. Because of samadhi and because it instructs that dharma becomes the proximate cause. Therefore, from the definitive word, it is magical power because it brings about attainment. Attainment means accomplishment.
