Because both are ways of knowing others' minds. The uncontaminated knowledge of others' minds also takes suffering and the like as its object. Therefore, it is not acceptable to think that it should also be in accordance with emptiness and signlessness. The term "all knowledge of others' minds" refers to either contaminated or uncontaminated knowledge. Regarding "mind and mental factors, and the self-characteristics of objects," the term "objects" is used to clarify conventional truth. The term "self-characteristics" is used to eliminate general characteristics. Mentioning "mind and mental factors" is to distinguish the self-characteristics of forms and the like. Some people think that when the thought "I will know others' minds" arises, it will not excessively extend to forms and the like, because although they are of the three times, they are now produced in one's own continuum. Mentioning "other's continuum" is because that is the object that is now produced. And, because the mind and mental factors belonging to the continuum of others are the object. Mentioning "having desire and form, and not having" is to eliminate the acting mind and mental factors of the formless realm, because those are beyond the realm and are not the object of knowing others' minds. The term "obstructing the path of seeing" means that the path of seeing is not a manifestation that is now produced, nor is it included in the path of seeing. Knowing others' minds is distinguished because it is manifested, and it is not obstructed because it is not an existing manifestation. The term "focusing on the path of meditation" means that at that time it is manifested and included by it, which is its definition. Emptiness, signlessness, and non-accordance are because the object and aspect are different, because the two are the object of general characteristics and the unconditioned. Knowing others' minds is because it is the self-characteristic of knowable objects, and is the object of mind and mental factors. The term "not including the knowledge of exhaustion and non-arising" means that knowing others' minds is included by the four knowledges, that is, from the six of each of the knowledge of exhaustion and non-arising, knowing others' minds is completely understanding and completely
