How should this be explained? Because it is based on the attainment of knowing the minds of others, it is with attachment. Thus, since the mind is mentioned, attachment is also mentioned, so from where would a fault occur here? Therefore, the statement "with attachment" appears extensively here. Because the mind of a learner, which is without outflows, and the mind of a non-learner, which is with outflows, both become with attachment, and knowing the minds of others is not based on attainment, nor is it based on attachment that is based on that, therefore it is not with attachment. What is it then? A mind that is in accordance with attachment is with attachment, and although there is the attainment of attachment, a mind that is not in accordance with attachment is free from attachment, because of that. The view of the Sutra is that there is no other possible meaning of the Sutra. The phrase "that is from being separated from its attainment" refers to being spoken with consideration for being separated from the attainment of attachment, hatred, and ignorance, and it is not merely not being in accordance with attachment and so on, this is what it shows. Is it an explanation? It appears extensively, saying, where is it explained? In this Sutra, it is extensively said, "A mind that is in accordance with attachment is with attachment," from "If not being in accordance with attachment is being free from attachment, then being in accordance with other afflictions would also become so," that is where it is explained. The statement "this view has no fault" means that even though being free from attachment is in accordance with other afflictions, it is because it is not in accordance with attachment. If one were to grasp how being in accordance with afflictions such as hatred as being free from attachment, then precisely because of that, it is not grasped as being free from attachment, it appears extensively. The word "etc." includes everything that is gathered together as it is in the Sutra, and so on. Here also, only the pervasive entanglement of the first attachment is with attachment, its antidote is being free from attachment. The attainment and combination of the second attachment is also attachment with outflows, being separated from it is being free from attachment. The teacher considers only pervasive entanglement to be with attachment.

, other than that, non-attachment is not an antidote. The answer of the abbot Dusang was also given with this. That is, in this sutra, the mind accompanied by dullness and sleep is not meant to be all-inclusive. Why? Because the mind is completely subdued by afflictions and purification. In order to know that this mind is with attachment or without attachment, etc., therefore, one should be close to it. Thus, because the principles of the white and black sides are shown, it is called with attachment and without attachment, etc. When teaching the oral instructions for cultivating the miraculous feet, it is to point out the faults. This mind will not become too depressed, will not be too grasping, will not be inwardly gathered, nor will it be outwardly distracted, which is extensively explained in the sutra. These are the faults of cultivating the miraculous feet, such as, laziness, agitation, dullness, sleep, and form, etc., without any connection, such as mental application, etc. Therefore, only the oral instructions for understanding the mind of attachment, etc., are given, while the others point out the faults of cultivating the four miraculous feet. Therefore, this is not knowable. Regarding this meaning, the mind Whatever is accompanied by dullness and sleep is also like this, the antidote to attachment, etc., is not non-attachment, etc., because there is no connection, which is extensively explained in the sutra. If it is not like that, it means, if the object is also understood, then it will also be focused on form. If that is the case, then one will not understand the minds of others, because one is focused on form. When holding the minds of others by focusing on this, it means, when holding the minds of others by focusing on understanding the minds of others. It will be held as one's own nature, meaning, it will be held as one's own mind, which is a synonym. Holding one's own nature is unreasonable, because acting on one's own nature is contradictory. How can one hold one's own nature? If one holds it in a way that understands the minds of others, then what is held by it is also what the mind that understands the minds of others focuses on, which is possible.
