It is only the object, not the object of conduct just mentioned. In terms of the distinction between contaminated and uncontaminated, the object of uncontaminated conduct is not the two unconditioned dharmas. Just as with dharma and following dharma, not everything is an object. These are divided into four by the distinction of truth, meaning that dharma and following dharma, by the distinction of realms, differentiate the truths such as suffering and speak of the distinctions. For those who know suffering and so on, the distinction of dharma and following dharma is made from the perspective of the three realms, and for the truths such as suffering, the distinction is made in advance here, so it is said to be divided into four. The reason for focusing on that is that focusing on and knowing suffering is knowing suffering, and the same applies to others. Furthermore, why is it said that the contaminated also knows suffering in that way, and not in the way of suffering? That way is also the five aggregates, and it is possible to explain it entirely in terms of happiness. In order to obtain the doubt and universal behavior of focusing on that, it is divided into four, because focusing on the four truths such as suffering is different. Moreover, what is initially produced is focusing on the unreal, and focusing on the unreal is also in relation to the continuum, this is what is said. The reason for focusing on the aggregate of the peak of existence, in the manner of knowing suffering and arising, is that it is abandoning the peak of existence itself after everything. Therefore, repeatedly contemplating liberation from what torments and binds, one ultimately focuses on the exhaustion of the peak of existence. That is also suffering or arising, therefore one focuses on the peak of existence in the manner of suffering and arising. The ultimate arising of diamond-like samadhi is the knowledge of cessation, and after that arises the knowledge of non-arising, therefore the question is about diamond-like samadhi and so on. The meaning of "those two" is the meaning of initially produced and "and". If one focuses on suffering and arising, then what is explained in detail is that it is also possible for diamond-like samadhi to focus on the four truths.

Therefore, it is said as such. Hence, there is no certainty in this. From the ground, other-minds knowledge. Called: Knowing the minds of others, it is focused on the contaminated and the uncontaminated. Among them, whatever is focused on the contaminated is the wisdom of convention, because it is contaminated. What is focused on the uncontaminated is the three: the path, the Dharma, and subsequent knowledge. If it is said that other than the Dharma and subsequent knowledge, the knowledge of the path does not arise, then should the knowledge of other minds not only be spoken of as these three? Answer: Although it is so, it should be known that with the Dharma and subsequent knowledge, knowing the uncontaminated minds and mental factors of others is the knowledge of the path. Not speaking of knowing suffering and origin, it is said in this way to make known that knowing the minds of others is that which has an object of equal share. The uncontaminated does not know the contaminated, this determination is thus. For the time being, whatever is contaminated will not focus on the uncontaminated, because it is subtle and supreme. The uncontaminated minds and mental factors, for the uncontaminated, there is no contaminated as an object. Therefore, by what cause do the contaminated objects, etc., transform into the uncontaminated with different aspects? All contaminated objects and uncontaminated wisdom, etc., are excellent. For those aspects, why do they grasp the nature of mind and mental factors and make transformation? Answer: It is because they delight in refuting and turn outward from entering. Also, the individual things of the minds and mental factors of the noble ones cannot know the uncontaminated. They are considered in a general way, with aspects such as impermanence. sama stam apa hya sriyam sopatra micchati, sriyatena manyatha beti. The sapa of the lower meditation does not know the sapa of the upper meditation. Meaning: The sapa of the first dhyana does not know all the sapa of the upper dhyana. Likewise, all the dhyanas are only: unfriendly, the ear sense desiring the second, and joy itself is elsewhere. The third sapa is also said not to know the sapa of the upper dhyana.
