From forbearance to subsequent knowledge of the path, eight forbearances are explained, and from the Dharma-knowledge of suffering to the subsequent knowledge of the path, eight knowledges are explained. Similarly, the non-learning right view, as well as the knowledge of exhaustion and the knowledge of non-arising, are also explained. Similarly, for one person, right view and right knowledge are explained as limbs. Therefore, why are they forbearances and not knowledges? Is it right knowledge and not right view? This should be examined. Like this, for whom there are eight forbearances, eight knowledges, as well as right view and right knowledge, to show the distinctions in this way, is it that only wisdom is forbearance and not knowledge? Only knowledge and not forbearance? Similarly, only view and not knowledge? Only knowledge and not view? It will be shown. Because in this way, there are eight forbearances, eight knowledges, as well as right view and right knowledge, to be shown with distinctions. And why doubt like this? Because all of these are the nature of wisdom, to show the distinctions and that they exist. Immaculate forbearances are not knowledge. Thus it is said. By distinguishing with 'immaculate,' it will be shown that the defiled forbearances are knowledge. If the meaning of knowledge is the meaning of certainty, then forbearances are not certain, so they are not knowledge. How are they not certain? What is to be abandoned by it is explained extensively. 'That which is to be abandoned' refers to what is to be abandoned by forbearance. By the path that can cease, its obscurations are thoroughly removed, thus it is said. Therefore, in the continuum that is to be abandoned by it, the subtle increase, obtained by doubt, and related to the continuum, forbearances arise, so they have not abandoned doubt. For the wisdom that has abandoned doubt, it is called knowledge, so forbearances are not knowledge. Why is 'that which is to be abandoned' said? In order to show that the Dharma-knowledge of suffering and so on are knowledge. If only it is said that the subtle increase has not abandoned doubt, then now only the subsequent knowledge of the path is knowledge.

In the proofread version, the previous ones are not, because the subtle aspects of doubt have not been eliminated. If all that is with outflows is wisdom, then how is it known that only the outflowless is wisdom? Because of eliminating and not eliminating the subtle aspects of doubt, there is certainty and uncertainty. This is knowledge, this is not knowledge, because there is no such different cognition, so that which is with outflows is not. The so-called stainless, stain refers to subsequent association, which is called stained. This is also like this, whatever wisdom is associated with doubt is called knowledge. As it is said, what is the wrong knowledge in it? Associated with the aggregate of mind consciousness, it is afflicted, as well as the five consciousnesses, and the associated afflicted ones. Everything is wisdom and knowledge, as well as seeing and knowing, that is, the nature of seeing, the nature of wisdom and knowledge, abides in the function. Therefore, by what knowing should it be abandoned, eliminating the subtle aspects of doubt, that is outflowless wisdom, it is not knowledge, nor is it with outflows. Because they are the nature of realization, it means that because it is the nature of certain, near realization. How to eliminate this subtle aspect of doubt that should be abandoned, thereby eliminating the nature of seeing, and negating the nature of knowledge? Similarly, it is also the nature of certain realization. Eliminating the nature of not knowing, establishing the nature of seeing. Similarly, therefore, it is said in the sutra, "Other than that, two excellent wisdoms." Others say that the thought of entering separately, combined with looseness, is knowledge, while the thought of completely seeking, the creation is forbearance. If it is not knowledge, then on the path of cultivation, it will also become a fault in the uninterrupted path and so on. Because there is no correct recognition and does not have the thought of completely seeking, correct recognition is close to measuring and determining, that is, "this and that." Completely seeking is "what is this," thereby seeking it. Among them, thought is manifest thought. Thought with recognition and thought without recognition, similarly, completely seeking.
