It is like any path other than the three paths. If any path is immediately followed by the path of no interval and the path of application, then what should be said about the path that precedes the supreme Dharma? Although it is only the path of application, it is very distant, and this is the difference from the supreme Dharmas. In order to ask for a detailed explanation, why is the word "path" mentioned? Regarding the statement "It is the path of Nirvana," the words "path" and "way" are synonyms. How is this the path of Nirvana? Therefore, it is said, "Because one goes from there to there." Because one goes from that path to Nirvana. This refers to seeking Nirvana, this is, meaning to follow Nirvana. How are the path of liberation, the path of distinction, and the path itself paths? It means that only the path of application and the path of no interval can eliminate afflictions, but the path of liberation and the path of distinction cannot, because the afflictions have already been eliminated. Because it is similar to it and most supreme, regarding the statement "Because it is similar to it and most supreme," those are similar to the path of abandonment, because the classification, object, and form are similar. It is most supreme because the cause is vast. Therefore, those are also paths themselves. Those are also paths themselves because they cause one to progress from higher to higher. If that is the case, the path of distinction itself will degenerate, because there is no path before it, therefore it is said, "In order to enter the realm of no remaining aggregates," because from those that have become paths, one enters the realm of no remaining aggregates, therefore those two are also paths. In order to accomplish Nirvana, regarding the statement "In order to accomplish Nirvana," it means, because that accomplishes Nirvana. Similarly, easy also has two aspects, meaning there is also an easy path of slow realization, and there is also an easy path of quick realization. And how are those established? From the perspective of ground and faculties. In order to show that, the paths of meditation are easy.

Thus, and so on, has been spoken. Those who are completely grasped by the limbs, and those who have equal quiescence and insight, etc., that which is completely grasped by the limbs is that which is completely grasped by the limbs. Completely grasped by the limbs, the equality of quiescence and insight, thus connecting the words. Because they do not need to strive, and arise naturally, therefore the path of meditation is an easy path. The limbs of meditation are completely grasped, and it becomes the equality of quiescence and insight. Therefore, that path arises effortlessly and spontaneously, like a boat on water. Therefore, that is an easy path. The path of those other defiled grounds other than the actual basis of meditation, because it arises through effort, is a difficult path, like a boat on land. It arises through effort because there is no grasp by the limbs there, and because quiescence and insight are weak. The noble path is not of a difficult nature, and because it is not associated with painful feelings, it is not called difficult. Likewise, the path of the unobstructed and special meditations, quiescence is small, insight is small in the formless realms, and in all places, samadhi is not completely grasped by the limbs. That which is divided into two by the difference of grounds, each of them is divided into two by the difference of faculties, therefore, that path is also of two kinds, thus it is extensively spoken. This path has slow Abhisamaya, therefore it is slow Abhisamaya. The so-called slow is the meaning of small. Abhisamaya is wisdom, because it is able to manifest and know extremely well, therefore it is Abhisamaya. Others say: It is not known quickly by this, but it is known slowly, therefore it is slow Abhisamaya. Or, this is a dull person, the so-called dull is a synonym for foolish. What is dull? It is one whose faculties are dull. It should be understood that quick Abhisamaya is the opposite of this. The difficult and easy, or slow and quick path, should be understood as the nature of the five aggregates, and in order to mainly show wisdom, then...
