It is called so. The term "impermanent" means that it possesses momentary destruction and cessation. Because one's own nature is undesirable, no one will develop attachment to it like suffering. Therefore, in order to be free from attachment to it, one does not need to view its faults in other ways, just like suffering. That is, The Blessed One alone is extensively explained. Because only two sufferings are shown, it is said that this was not spoken considering the suffering of suffering. The impermanence of formations means that what previously existed, if it existed, is not, and it arises dependent on causes and conditions, and it is the destruction in each moment. The term "transformation of formations" means that dissimilar and complete transformation is transformation, which is a synonym for becoming other. That is, immediately after, another feeling arises or is different. If everything is suffering by nature, it is extensively explained. Three feelings must be established. Because the Elder asked the Blessed One, "Considering what did the Blessed One speak of three feelings?" therefore, one should know that this sutra called "Three Mental Feelings" must have a hidden meaning. Any feeling, whatever it may be, is suffering here, which has a hidden meaning, because the Elder completely contemplated that this has a hidden meaning. Because it is of the nature of transformation and impermanence, it means because it is of the nature of transformation, and because it is of the nature of impermanence. The feeling of happiness itself is seen as suffering.

If one considers what is called the feeling of pleasure and equanimity as suffering, how can one ensure that the mind does not become inverted? Because formations are changing, their very nature is suffering. How is this to be understood? From its own nature, it is called pleasure. When will it be elaborated? If the feeling of pleasure does not change from its own nature, then its suffering is suffering itself. Even when shown as suffering, formations are changing sufferings. Among these, the feeling of pleasure is suffering in name only. The sutras say that feelings such as pleasure are suffering in name only, not by their own nature. When the feeling of pleasure arises, it is pleasure, and when it remains, it is the suffering of becoming pleasure. If it is seen as entirely pleasure, how can it be inverted? Because children hold the highest views. Formations that are afflicted and completely burned by all the fires of affliction are seen as virtues. Thus, the perception of pleasure in suffering is naturally inverted. If, like perceiving the self as permanent, one also perceives formations as a single suffering, then it is not so, because the perception of forms and so on as a single suffering is prohibited. What virtue would there be? Because the three feelings of pleasure, suffering, and neither pleasure nor suffering are taught, this only becomes affliction itself. Since one is not free from desire, what virtue can be attained? If it is said that it is taught in accordance with the world, then, because the world does not understand the three feelings, it is permissible to say that there are three feelings in accordance with the world. But it is not so, because the Buddha spoke with the intention that all feelings are suffering. How so? Ananda, whatever is felt, here it is suffering, because the Buddha spoke with the intention that formations are impermanent and changing. Therefore, solely from their own nature, the three feelings are truly spoken of as they are, so
