They say that for the sake of abandonment, the abandonment without outflows is not a matter of individual aspects. Its own nature is just as it was said before. What was said before? The truth of suffering is all conditioned phenomena that are the result, except for the path. The truth of origin is those that have become causes. The truth of cessation is cessation through individual examination. The truth of the path is the teachings of those in training and those beyond training. Others say that name and form are the truth of suffering. Karma and afflictions, by their very nature as the five aggregates of clinging, are the truth of origin. Just as afflictions flow, the mind closely approaches confusion, and the afflictions that bind with the nature of the cause of karma are ceased by ceasing. Having ceased those, calm abiding and insight that are free from form and so on are the truth of the path, because the noble path is gathered by them. Here, the Abhidharma masters do not accept this, because of the differences in time, person, inclination, and the state of ability. The teachings in the sutras are with intention, while the Abhidharma is based solely on characteristics. Thus, this does not contradict the Abhidharma. If it were not so, that is, if it were not intended to teach the truths as they are manifestly realized, then it would be like that, and the cause would be shown first, and the result would be shown later, because the cause goes before the result, so it would be reasonable to teach the truth of origin before the truth of suffering, and to teach the truth of the path before the truth of cessation. Some say that it is taught in accordance with discrimination, which means that it is taught in accordance with realization, and realization, discrimination, and definite realization are synonyms. For example, the right abandonments mean, how to generate effort in order to abandon the evil, unwholesome dharmas that have already arisen. Striving. Initiating diligence. Holding the mind. Abiding, and desiring not to generate those that have not arisen.

Add all the words such as "generate". Add all the words such as "generate the intention to generate the virtues that have not yet arisen". To stabilize and not forget those that have arisen, to perfect the meditation, to increase and expand, and to manifest wisdom, generate the intention as before. What was said earlier, such as "those that have arisen," is explained in detail, referring to the establishment of the Dharma that has arisen for Duttarāhi (Sanskrit: Duttarāhi), but not for those that have not arisen. These are the doctrines that are consistent with this. If it is said from the beginning that effort should be made to abandon the non-virtuous Dharmas that have arisen, but not for those that have not arisen, this statement is uncertain. Therefore, if that is the case, since that intention and what it indicates arise, indicating the cause first and the result later, this statement is also uncertain. "Attachment" refers to suffering that has the nature of the five aggregates of grasping. "Harm" means that it is harmed by itself. "Seeking liberation from it" means seeking liberation from it. For this, first, in the stage of analytical observation, it is the stage of complete examination, which is consistent with the part of definite distinction. From the saying "a doctor with four limbs removes the poisoned arrow," it means, if asked: how? A doctor with four limbs removes the poisoned arrow, which is suitable for the king, and also falls on the king's hair, and is also counted as part of the king's limbs. What are the four? He is proficient in diseases, proficient in the origin of diseases, proficient in removing diseases, and proficient in preventing diseases from recurring after removal. Similarly, the Tathagata, Arhat, Samyaksaṃbuddha with four limbs is also called the unsurpassed doctor who removes poisoned arrows. What are the four? Monks, here, the Tathagata, Arhat, Samyaksaṃbuddha truly knows: this is suffering, this is the origin of suffering.
