The reason for saying "hesitating about time" and so on is because there is a detailed explanation. Non-food refers to something like separately observing the dependent arising that is the cause of this. In this way, these are all individually obstacles, namely dullness and sleep, as well as agitation and regret. The so-called "food temperature is not suitable" means eating too little or too much. Stopping is the meaning of concentration and focus. Craving for desire and the intention to harm will damage the aggregate of discipline, because in order to stay away from desire and sin in the order of these two. Dullness and sleep will damage the aggregate of wisdom, because they will distance insight. Agitation and regret will damage the aggregate of samadhi, because they will distance stopping. The so-called "if you think like this" means that if you think that dullness and sleep are contrary to the aggregate of wisdom, and agitation and regret are contrary to the aggregate of samadhi, then the obstacles of agitation and regret will become the previously mentioned obscured by dullness and sleep. Why? Because in this way, in what order the aggregates of discipline, samadhi, and wisdom are shown, the obstacles that are inconsistent with them should be shown in that order, because there is no need to go beyond the order. The so-called "what is the number" means that dullness and sleep are the near afflictions of the aggregate of samadhi. Agitation and regret are the near afflictions of the aggregate of wisdom, just like this, striving for samadhi will be frightened by dullness and sleep, and striving for proper attention will be frightened by agitation and regret. It is necessary to have different orders, because some people say that insight is the antidote to dullness, not stopping. Stopping is also said to be the antidote to agitation and regret, not insight. Therefore, when abandoning without concealment, showing stopping and so on, because this will produce the certainty that this is the antidote, so when abandoning, it is always like this.

Those are the differences in their respective actions. It has also been recognized that the order is different. The term "becoming a cause" means being scattered for the sake of alms. The term "becoming a dwelling place" means dwelling or remaining inwardly. The term "proceeding before that" means that the signs of suffering and non-suffering precede it. In the term "entering into samadhi after that," here, ignorance is the cause of calm abiding and insight, and the mind wrongly attends to the cause of insight. The term "in order" means that drowsiness and sleep are obstacles to calm abiding, and agitation and regret are obstacles to insight. Just as the image of a form is not visible in water stirred by a red wind, so the mind stirred by agitation and regret does not see reality, and doubt also does not see reality. Furthermore, why is ignorance not established as an obscuration? Because it is established even without being spoken of. The sutra says that ignorance is an obscuration because it is the same as carrying a burden as the obscurations. Others say that it also leads to more excellent Dharma. Na hi. (Tibetan) No. (Tibetan) Sarva (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: सर्व, Sanskrit Romanization: sarva, Chinese literal meaning: all). Kleśa (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: क्लेश, Sanskrit Romanization: kleśa, Chinese literal meaning: affliction). Ma nyam de. (Tibetan) Samāstātathāvara. (Tibetan) Obscuration. (Tibetan) Naṃkṛtyaṃ (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: नंकृत्यं, Sanskrit Romanization: naṃkṛtyaṃ, Chinese literal meaning: not doing). Ja wa. (Tibetan) Kurvanti (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari: कुर्वन्ति, Sanskrit Romanization: kurvanti, Chinese literal meaning: doing). Je. (Tibetan) Jitar. (Tibetan) Yathaikākinyovidyāste. (Tibetan) One another exists. Because of the power of pride, some create virtuous actions, therefore pride is not spoken of as an obscuration. Because it causes the mind to be coarse, it is an obscuration. Others say that because the mind is extremely attached, it is pride. This is not because it does not make the mind arrogant, but because there is no obscuration, so the view of selflessness is not complete, and because one sees the detachment from desire for the realms through the view of selflessness, therefore it is not a view, because it is the nature of wisdom and is clear. Because it is contrary to that, it is an obscuration, because it obscures the detachment from desire for the three realms, therefore the afflictions that are practiced in the form and formless realms are obscurations. Or, because it obscures that, obscurations are established, because it is unspecified. Here it is said that non-virtue is an obscuration.
