It means that it has the same characteristics. For example, shamelessness and lack of embarrassment are the same because they have the same characteristics as all non-virtues. Dullness and agitation are the same because they have the same characteristics as all afflictions. The two are the objects of the mind because they have the same characteristics as all behaviors in desire. These are said to show that what is abandoned by seeing is not confused because they have the same characteristics as the two afflictions. Whatever is abandoned by seeing, this sentence explains in detail that having the same characteristics as what is abandoned by seeing the truth of suffering is what is abandoned by seeing the truth of suffering. Similarly, it should also be said for what is abandoned by seeing the truths of origin, cessation, and path. The reason for having only the same characteristics as ignorance is that having the same characteristics as ignorance that is abandoned by meditation will also become the same as its near afflictions. If it is said that it is non-virtuous in the desire realm, except for dullness, agitation, and sleep, the seven latent tendencies and the six illusions are uniquely non-virtuous in the desire realm. Dullness and so on are non-virtuous and unspecified. Sleep also has virtue, so why is it said to be two? Because this is the case of latent tendencies, it is not included. Because it is impossible for everything to exist in everything, it is said "as appropriate." They are all objects of the mind. For this sentence, pride and sleep are all five objects of the mind,

They are the forms of joy. Attachment and hatred, those that enter into them in their own way, are those that enter into the forms of joy and sorrow. Their essence is precisely entering into the forms of joy and sorrow. Therefore, attachment and hatred are correspondingly associated with pleasure and pain. Because the forms are the same, and because it is the sixth aggregate of consciousness, attachment is correspondingly associated with pleasure and joy, while hatred is correspondingly associated with pain and displeasure. For those with meritorious deeds and those with sinful deeds, the word "and," those with meritorious deeds are displeased, and those with sinful deeds are pleased. Like the view, it is except for wrong views. Others say that some here are associated with joy. With the view of self, thinking that I will suffer, therefore feeling displeasure, similarly thinking that I will be annihilated, therefore feeling displeasure, similarly because of fear, children think like this: viewing asceticism as pure and clean, and certainly because of this, the mind is distressed. Hearing and Wisdom and so on are greatly increased and perfected, therefore suffering arises from the mind. Therefore, if it is said that displeasure is seen to be associated with them, it is not so, because feelings arise together with other minds, thinking that I have become miserable. Suffering itself comes from the realm of others' suffering, not from oneself. Seeing its self-nature, therefore one will feel joy. Fear arises from the cause of seeing it annihilated, because one sees its virtues. With the view of permanence, fear arises for annihilation. Those tormented by asceticism also think that they will experience suffering, therefore, tormented by other minds, the view of excellence and purity arises together with joy. Because it is understood from the perspective of virtues. Pari bhava buddhi cittā me pa ka hi pari bhava vo nyātka dā mā syate. Therefore, it is well explained to say that other actions are associated with joy. Born from desire, from where does this come?

This is because it is to be free from the feeling of suffering and the feelings that correspond to it. The mind that has not been completely subdued is different from the mind that has been completely subdued. For the time being, to explain these (feelings) in detail like this, by distinguishing the forms of joy and sorrow, after definitely explaining the corresponding situations such as happiness or suffering, generally speaking, the so-called "general statement" will appear in detail. The freedom of equanimity is due to the increase of ignorance, and ignorance also corresponds to all defilements. When the continuum of each thing ceases, all defilements will also loosely cling to the object. Utsa kyā audāsīnya mārgasya nirudhyate. (Tibetan, Sanskrit, Romanized Sanskrit, Literal Chinese meaning) The path with ability and diligence can cut it off. Because it is in accordance with that time and afterwards, equanimity and all defilements can be in accordance. Does equanimity not have the forms of joy and sorrow? If so, how does it correspond to the forms of joy and sorrow? Because there is no contradiction, just like a fair person. When joy and sorrow cease simultaneously, because the near-taking arises, there is no fault in this. Although desire and hatred are not the nature of joy and sorrow, because their nature is in accordance with Dharma and non-Dharma, they correspond to (joy and sorrow), so they are shown as their forms. Similarly, although the freedom of equanimity is certainly liberated from joy and sorrow, it can also correspond to both (joy and sorrow). Just as it corresponds to them, their forms are also shown and spoken. Due to the power of the object, when other consciousnesses arise, the aspect is clear, and it abides in correspondence with the freedom of equanimity, because seeing certainty is unreasonable, it must be at the time when the continuum ceases. The word "saying," the sound of "saying" in it means displeasure. Where and how many freedoms are there? Regarding this question, in the dhyana of being born in heaven: joy and equanimity, equanimity, joy and happiness, equanimity, equanimity, equanimity feeling. It will be explained later. Then, appropriately, the fourth collection of consciousnesses is, in the first dhyana, there is no nose consciousness and tongue consciousness.
