Because it is associated with this, it belongs to suffering and the origin of suffering. Therefore, the four minds belonging to the desire realm are the objects. Focusing on the feeling of pleasure, practicing in the form realm, the five minds that focus on conditioned phenomena should also be understood in the same way. Because there are five kinds of pleasure there, the mind that focuses on it also becomes five kinds. Among them, the later-born only focuses on the five aspects of the previously born. This is the difference, that is, those who are associated with suffering and the origin of suffering, who have pervasive and corresponding qualities, take the five aspects of what is to be abandoned by cultivation and what is to be abandoned by the path of seeing as their objects. Practicing in the formless realm, being associated with wrong views, etc., which are to be abandoned by the path of seeing, taking the feeling of pleasure as the object, and the virtuous dharmas to be abandoned by cultivation have already been explained. Among them, if desire arises for the mind associated with wrong views, etc., then at this time it is focusing on the feeling of pleasure that corresponds to it. Similarly, for the feeling of pleasure to be abandoned by cultivation as the object, if the object is what is to be abandoned by cultivation or afflictions, then this is also taking the feeling of pleasure as the object as the object. The pervasive ones associated with suffering and the origin of suffering also focus on these two, so this is also taking the feeling of pleasure as the object as the object, so it is said that "there are two kinds of practice in the formless realm." The uncontaminated mind focuses on the uncontaminated feeling of pleasure of the third dhyana, and the later-born focuses on the previously born, so this is also taking the feeling of pleasure as the object as the object. Among them, the extensive explanation of "practicing in the formless realm" is to include the pervasive and the non-pervasive, among which the non-pervasive is more excellent. The pervasive ones are those previously mentioned. Except for what is to be abandoned by the sight of cessation, the four categories of practice in the desire realm are explained extensively in the same way as before, in terms of object and correspondence. Similarly, except for what is to be abandoned by the sight of cessation, those who practice in the formless realm should also focus on each accordingly.

It should be understood that it increases through possessing the same means as... In the realm of form, with conditioned phenomena as the object, with five categories of different objects, it increases through possessing the same means as faith. The so-called "this path" means "this way," that is, "this direction." Next, it will be explained that "other content should be understood," which is asking, "How will the subtle increase of the eye faculty increase?" For analyzing the future, what should be abandoned through cultivating the eye faculty is actually both the desire realm and the form realm. And their objects are eight consciousnesses. There are three each in the desire realm and the form realm. What should be abandoned through seeing suffering and seeing the origin are pervasive and accompanying factors. And what should be abandoned through cultivation, so there become six types. In the formless realm, the uncontaminated virtue included in the proximity of the sphere of infinite space is also the same. Among them, in the desire realm, for the consciousness of pervasive and accompanying factors that should be abandoned through seeing suffering, the category that should be abandoned through seeing suffering and the pervasive factors that should be abandoned through seeing the origin will increase. Conversely, for what should be abandoned through seeing the origin and what should be abandoned through cultivation, it is all the pervasive factors that should be abandoned through cultivation, so the desire realm becomes three categories. Similarly, for the behavior in the form realm and the virtue in the formless realm, and the eye faculty with the four dhyanas as the object. There, the pervasive factors of subtle increase that should be abandoned through cultivation in the formless realm will increase. Uncontaminated phenomena increase uniformly. There are thirteen types of consciousnesses with the object of the eye faculty as the object, namely, the behaviors in the desire realm and the four types mentioned earlier, and the three types that should be abandoned through seeing the path, as well as the behaviors in the form realm and the formless realm. The so-called uncontaminated phenomena are also the same. Among them, according to the situation, twelve types will increase, namely, the behaviors in the desire realm, the form realm, and the formless realm, except for what should be abandoned through seeing cessation, there are four types each. Uncontaminated phenomena are the Dharma-knowledge of the behavior of the eye faculty in the desire realm.
