Is sensation, that which is associated with all aspects of the unequal realms, the object is all five aspects of the form realm. What is abandoned by the path of seeing in the desire realm, such as wrong views, and the object with which it is associated, is the pleasure sensation of the third dhyana ground, which is in accordance with the aspect of knowing the unpolluted dharma. What is abandoned by the path of cultivation in the desire realm, the object of the afflicted and non-afflicted, is the pleasure sensation of the desire realm, and the object of only the non-afflicted is all five aspects of the upper realms. Except for what is abandoned by the path of cessation, it is said, among them, what is focused on the unpolluted, its object is only cessation, and whatever is focused on the polluted, its object is also wrong views and association, and the object of mental pleasure. It is not a pleasure sensation. The five aspects of the form realm and, it is said, suffering and origin and cessation and path, what is abandoned by the path of seeing and the path of cultivation, among them, the pleasure sensation of the desire realm, when the desire realm is disgusted, the object of what is abandoned by the path of cultivation in the form realm is only the object. The first dhyana ground and the third dhyana ground are cessation and path, what is abandoned by the path of seeing and the path of cultivation, and the object associated with all aspects of the equal realms. The five objects of the third dhyana ground should be known as all five of its grounds as appropriate. The cessation of what is abandoned by the path of cultivation in one's own ground and the lower ground is because the attachment and other aspects of the pleasure sensation of one's own ground are stopped, what is abandoned by the path of seeing of cessation is focused on the pleasure sensation. What is abandoned by the path of seeing is also the path associated with the aspect of knowing the third dhyana ground with wrong views and so on as the object. Similarly, what is abandoned by the path of seeing is also focused on the pleasure sensation. The formless realm has two aspects, it is said, among them, the object of what is abandoned by the path of seeing,

The reason is when wrong views, etc., take the conforming aspects and conforming paths of the third dhyana ground as their object. The non-afflictive object to be abandoned through meditation is also that very path, because it is said in the sutra: 'Formless realities, all virtues, are not objects of the lower realms with outflows.' Therefore, noble ones born in the formless realm, due to the power of habituation, take the path of the third dhyana without outflows as their object with consciousness of virtuous things with outflows. The term 'without outflows' means that the object conforming to the subsequent knowledge aspect is the sense of pleasure that operates in the form realm, while the object of the Dharma knowledge aspect is the Dharma knowledge and subsequent knowledge aspect that operate in the desire realm, as well as the sense of pleasure without outflows and the knowledge of that itself without outflows. The term 'in this' refers to the twelve types of consciousness that take the sense of pleasure as their object. The term 'as appropriate' arises in this way: for the four types of consciousness that operate in the desire realm and take the sense of pleasure as their object, the four categories that operate in the desire realm will increase. How does this increase occur? The pure consciousness that is to be abandoned by seeing suffering and seeing the origin, which is pervasive and associated, and which takes the sense of pleasure as its object, increases from the aspect of the object for those that are non-pervasive and are to be abandoned by seeing suffering and seeing the origin. Those that are pervasive increase appropriately from the aspect of the object and association. In this case, merely taking the formless realm as the object, the pervasive aspects of the realms that are neither shared nor unshared, and the desire, etc., that are directed towards it, are neither the same nor do they have a contradictory form; by taking them closely, the four categories increase, as it is said in the sutra. For the case of abandoning by the path of seeing, which takes the sense of pleasure as its object, desire, etc., increase from the aspect of the object from the aspect of being associated with wrong views, and desire, etc., of one's own lineage increase from the aspect of the object and association. For the non-afflictive, it is from the aspect of the object. For what is to be abandoned by seeing cessation, it is the aggregate of consciousness.
